Trick to avoid getting bad sport.

So I was chilling in free roam when this dude in a car started speeding towards me. He starts firing some bullets so I blew him and his car up with a grenade launcher, thinking I'd only get a warning for bad sport. But my warnings had been piling up, so this time I got bad sport. As soon as I became a bad sport, with the dunce hat and all, I turned off my xbox right there and then.

 

When I went back online a few minutes later, my bad sport status and dunce hat were gone. I assume you have to be quick to turning off your xbox so it doesn't save on the servers, but otherwise this is extremely useful. I have avoided 3 potential bad sports using this method.

This has been speculated to a bunch of times already. But the servers now are f*cked anyways with the delays/stuff not saving. So it could be that.

Say you get a few warnings for blowing up cars, do they eventually reduce/disappear or will they only reset once you leave Bad Sport Penitentiary?

Likely only worked because cloud servers are strugglin worse then they were on launch day.

im pretty sure they reduce in time because im getting a few of them a day now due to clowns attacking me but i always try avoid more than 3 a day and so far its worked for me

I don't know why people are suggesting that ragequitting will lose your progress. Your player saves to the cloud intermittently, such as when you finish a job/change session/change your appearance etc.

The key is just SHOOT THE PERSON and leave their car alone.

Old news. You can get rid of the bad sport punishment that way, but as soon as you blow up another couple of vehicles you'll get it again. It's not worth it.
