Can't find the $12,000 down at the plane!

Have RockStar removed the 'treasure' from down at the plane wreck after the patch or something?

 

I spent AGES with a scuba diving suit last night trying to find it. I went everywhere. All I got was body armour, first aid box, and a rifle.

Pretty sure all the underwater money briefcases have been removed. That's the R* solution to a problem.

^{Yeah I came across an underwater downed plane too and saw some flashing stuff, but the only one that looked like a briefcase was just armor. I know when I first played the game I saw a briefcase underwater, but had no Scuba gear, and even with 100% lung capacity I couldn't get to it. That's how I got my first death by shark, trying to briefcase hunt without the proper gear. The hidden packages are a part of getting 100% game completion I thought. They couldn't just remove them from the game altogether could they? Why would they do that? It would explain why at the Altruist camp I found four briefcases with $25,000 each, but I never found the hidden package that would have only had $13,000 that was supposedly there. Unless I'm confused about the amount of money that the hidden packages can contain. They were in the game at one time, if they've been removed it's probably only temporary, but why that would be is totally unknown to me. I've had to do at least four or five updates to GTAV on the Xbox, and I have yet to see a single list of what any of these updates has fixed. I always thought they released a list of patch fixes so players would know what to stop bitching about and give a thanks instead of an eff you. Has any kind of "Fix List" for any of the patches been released somewhere that I may have missed somehow?}

When I went down to the underwater plane while searching for the submarine pieces I saw no briefcase either. I looked exactly where the videos on YouTube show it being. No money

This seems like a bug. I don't think Rockstar intentionally removed them from the single player portion.

 

Until it's fixed, you can remove the patch installation, log into the game without an internet connection, and collect the underwater packages.

 

When you're done, restore your internet connection. The game will auto-patch, and you'll be on your way again.

 

I've never tried this, but it should work in theory.

I am still like WTF? WHY would R* remove the underwater money. They have rendered going underwater USELESS. Yes, it is pretty and when first exploring at release you ask yourself "I wonder what is over there"? But now why the f*ck even bother. And since it was single player why would R* care about the money glitch when it doesn't effect anyone elses game.

 

R* is the biggest bag of dicks with GTA V. In past GTA's they threw money at you for killing, destorying cars. Now it's like they want you to be broke and grind the sh*t just to get 50K. The business give sh*t profit despite their inflated purchase price. Robbing the armored car might (MIGHT) give you 10K. That is bullsht. The f*ck is wrong with you R*?

Removing all briefcases, was a quick and effective way to remove the Money Farming Exploit.

Who knows, maybe, just maybe, one of their developers will take pride in his/her job and actually fix the problem.... in the not so near future?

I doubt that playing Offline will make any difference, since the Update probably corrects and installs the patch on the game HD Files. ??

I'm gonna try it now.

As Michael, I went down to get the $7.500 briefcase @ Banning and it was there and I got to collect it, but switching character back and forth did not made it re-spawn, only the weapons re-spawn.

Then after one mission, I switched to Trevor and went down to the same Banning location, but the briefcase was not there, and it didn't spawn even after trying another switch.

I then grabbed a Dinghy by the docks at Elysian Island and proceeded to the next briefcase location($11.000) near by but .... no briefcase. I then proceeded to the next ($16.500) location just south of Scrapyard, but no briefcase. I did one more mission and then checked again @ Banning, but no briefcase.

Goes to show that, often, fixing something, doesn't always work for the best.

It's gonna be even harder to make money now. Imma go invest @ Lifeintruder @ $3.80 ........ and then do the Money Truck Heist.

BTW: I'm on my second time around .....

R* first patch fixed that part so switching back and forth doesn't work anymore and you used to be able to put one in one spot and one in the other and go back and forth but with the patch it doesn't work anymore one of them will end up drowning by time you get back to the first one

Forget about the $12,000 brief case I found a spot that has a $25,000 one and is still there.

 

You won't be able to switch back and forth between them R* put an end to that with their patch they released two weeks ago, So to make it re-spawn you have to quick save and then reload and it will spawn back.

 

Here is the map of where you can find it, Also if you don't have the SMG MG Gun yet you can find the gun there too as well as amour and grenades.

I don't know about you guys but I think they spawn randomly.

Nope they are always there but I do think R* got rid of one or two hidden packages with the new update they released two days ago.

 

My go to package is always there when I do a quick save & reload
