No cars and no peds on the streets - ghost town Los Santos

Anyone else had this?

 

Sometimes there was not a single car and not a single ped on the streets in LS. It was like a f*cking ghost town. I went to the freeway and still not a single car. After one or two minutes I saw them coming back, slowly. It was like life is coming back, like in the movie 'Lengoliers'.

 

I don't know about LS County and Blaine County, noticed that only in LS.

 

Edit: it was always day time in-game when it happened.

I'd pay anything to roam freely without the worry of constantly hitting a car in every two seconds...

It seems that traffic is based on how many players are around each other... I find literally 0 cars on the road when I'm alone by myself on the opposite side of the map from everyone else in the loby. seen downtown entirely empty when 15 other people were all up at trevor's runway. but then have seen car's backed up on the ramps out in the boonies when there was like 8 of us.

Actually theres a new hint that sais that streaming issues (aka stuff not loading in) can happen if someone in the session has a bad connection.

 

Which is kinda "funny" considering R*'s matchmaking is junk, thx to the friend priority thing you frequently get put into matches with players on a entirely diffrent continent.

I did notice it once while in a mission. I think I heard after starting some missions in single player, like hunting, the city will be empty but idk

Story mode has a much better atmosphere, Online looks like a sh*t place.

iv had it like once when on a mission lucky i was in a car.

Just this weekend I played a bit of singleplayer again, because of the cloud issues and I was surprised, not to say shocked, how crowded the streets were in comparison to online. Even if the cars load online they are still significantly less than in singleplayxer.

I've noticed this immediately before a disconnect - generally a router reboot fixes it for me.

Yeah was getting this last night too was kinda cool being able to burn around the streets without the worry of traffic but it felt so empty that after a few mins i got bored and just switched sessions ha
