You never compare console with a console, both serve same purpose, what differs them is the quality that plays out the game differently, but you still play both games without massive difference as seen between both consoles versus a PC. They're comparable because they're crime (arguably) simulators in the 3rd person action / shooter genre. They're also comparable because they came out on the same generation of consoles, same year, and are obvious competitors of one another. To say a game isn't comparable because the team for one spent 1 minute more in the development phase is f*cking ridiculous. The thing about GTA 4 is that it was designed from the ground up. You ever remember a HD GTA game before GTA 4? It was the first one in the GTA universe. GTA and GTA 2 are top down arcade games, are they comparable to Saints Row and Saints Row 2 that came out years and years later after GTA 3 even? SR 4 is competing with GTA V. Get rid of those numbers and substitute it with anything else, and guess what, they're the same games. Let's say GTA 2 was renamed GTA: Expanded or something, that would put the series behind a number. Would they be comparable then? What if Saints Row 4 was instead the first game in its series, would it be comparable to GTA 1 then? Or what if it was the second? Would it be comparable to top down arcade games?
