I Simply CANNOT DO the bike race down the mountain after parachuting..

f*cking ridiculous. It's impossible to stay on course and not fall off the mountain. If you miss a checkpoint but get back on course, it fails you saying you've abandoned the race. There's no handbrake on the bike to make a tight turn because A is how you pedal faster. How the f*ck am I supposed to do this?

 

I made it halfway never took first place even though I was mashing on A. Then I hit a jump and hit the edge and fell down, didn't make it onto the road. This is the f*cking most retarded segment of the game I've encountered.

 

Is it even possible to win the race, if it's even possible to finish at all?

Yeah I actually won the race but it helps a lot to have your driving skill maxed which mine is. I don't think you have to win to complete the mission though so I would just take your time. Also L2(on playstation with alternate controls) is front brake and R2 is rear brake.

It was pretty easy, I just followed Dom down, he almost LETS you win at the end.

Ditto on take your time-- the backup button (not sure on xbox) is the brake on PS3-- you don't have to win the race--although Dom will stop if you stop going down the hill-- I went partially off the track one time and it took me a full 2 minutes to get back on the trail and I caught up to Dom right away. I did have spill near the end and lost the race but the mission still passed.

This was an awesome side mission. Although on the difficulty level of the mission, I would rate it about a 3 or 4 out of 10. Just do it a couple times and get the feel for it i guess. I can smash down the mountain now. Good luck.

Dont go too fast. Coast for a lot of it. Brake to slow before corners. Use your radar. Stick with it. I fell off the mountain a lot.

Loved the DH racing. I often take a bike up the lift to make a few runs from time to time. Just wish they had full-suspension bikes with 6-7 inches of travel.

Well stop pedaling as hard as you can and try to win by screaming down the mountain. Take your turns slow and avoid kicking it into high gear until you're on more level ground.

 

I absolutely suck DICK at steering bikes in this game, ESPECIALLY downhill. So if I can complete that mission, so can you.

I failed many times to begin with, trying to race down the mountain. Was kind of annoying, but eventually i went really slow, and won at the end.

What do you mean no brake? There's both a front wheel brake AND a rear wheel brake on PS3, so there are many different ways you can use the brakes to do all sorts of fancy things. I'm still learning new tricks.
