Quick question about parachutes.

If I purchase a chute color and trail will it always be that color anytime I get a chute by like a plane/helicopter? Same goes for the trail, any help would be great. They're really expensive and just wanna be sure.

From my experience, my blue chute stays blue even though I own them all, but your smoke trail has to be re-equipped by going to the quick inventory menu. That might not be the case if you only buy one color.

How do we use the smoke trail? I purchased the crew smoke trail yet it never uses it. I don't even get a smoke trail.
