This has probably been posted before, but I can't help but to voice my own thoughts on the matter.

 

Now, while this may not be that big of a deal to some, I think it's an INCREDIBLE oversight on R*'s part. I mean, how are you going to make a game called Grand Theft AUTO, have the main focus on vehicles and NOT have the steering wheel turn. It's stationary.

 

This, IMHO, needs to be implemented in a patch or something. It makes utterly no sense that people are claiming this game to be revolutionary when there are minor, yet kind of important details missing.

Who cares? It's not like we have an interior view where we directly see the steering wheel.

 

It's never been a problem in the past.

And the main focus isn't on vehicles just because "Auto" is in the title. It's focus is crime.

Ive been wanting steering wheels to return for a long time now....Its long overdue. If saints row can do it, Gta definitely can...And the steering wheels are not round, there are no round corners in the steering wheels

This would be unacceptable if there was an interior view, but because there's not I don't see the problem.

YES. This game absolutely needs this. This, the next GTA, something. I know it's not impossible, and they made it happen in GTA IV through a script mod, but R* themselves need to implement it.

I almost never see the steering wheel so it doesn't bother me. By the way, this has been known since trailer 2 where Trevor was pulling a corner on the dune buggy.

Yeah, they need to make that steering wheel that we almost never see in an interior none of us look at move.

 

 

To make each individual steering wheel move is more than just a few lines of code, I hope you are aware. That being said, they will implement it in the next installment I'm sure.

Idiots, it's not /impossible/ to add from a patch. So don't say current gen consoles can't handle it, they already added car name text for LSC with a patch, ITS NOT HARD.

 

We are talking about R* games here, not EA Games. It is annoying looking back with close up view and not seeing the steering wheel move while the characters hands move.

 

If they had a budget of $265 million, adding this small feature won't hurt. They added live electricity lines, moving plants etc and idk why they got lazy to add the steering wheel animation

nobody ever said it was impossible, it is possible. It's just a waste of time for R* to do that when we don't see the wheel anyways.
