What ever happened to different fighting styles?

I remember in San Andreas, you could go to different gyms and learn different ways to fight. Why would they take that out of GTA IV and V? I know it's not a big aspect of the game at all, but it was still neat. Plus the way CJ could get fatter from eating and pack on muscle from working out. I just don't see why they would take these things out.

I do miss the combat styles, but the animations on this one for clocking someone while running full speed makes up for it, imo.

Nothing better than running 50 feet at a ped, then walaying them like I'm playing Manhunt with a crowbar.

Yep it was a pretty neat feature but I think fighting styles would be next to useless online since "everybody blasts on fools first then asks questions second." I've never had a fist fight or seen one. Maybe if they implement a fight club then new fighting styles could be introduced.

And yeah I agree they should have implemented the weight alteration and gym useage from GTA SA but I guess either it had something to do with hardware limitation or R* just couldn't be bothered.

I noticed that you canot block in online while fighting other players. Is that true or I just failed to lock on the guy? Why wouldthey take out the counter attack from fights with real people???
