One of my new favorite things to do in game is host "The Most Dangerous Game" parties. I send this message to all potential participants, and have gotten quite a few bites. (At least, until you couldn't use money. I simply drop rocket launchers as prizes now).

Read below and see if it's something your character would attempt... or would you simply attend the party and watch?



"Greetings. I am Legion. I'm calling you with a proposition. I will award you ten thousand dollars if you can win my little game.

This evening I am hosting a party at my home. Friends and aquantances will gather around as we watch you play (should you decide to accept my offer) on the local news.

It's quite simple, really. I give you a 5 minute head start to go wherever you'd like and prepare. After that 5 minutes, I will send 5 waves of Merryweather mercenaries after you, with orders to kill.

Should you manage to evade each wave of mercenaries, I will reward you with the aforementioned ten grand.

And please, do try to put on a show.

It would be cool if you could choose to not give someone the money, so if someone puts on a bad show (IE dirty camping, using a sticky bomb trap) you send someone to kill them.

Perhaps I should put the stipulation of "No explosives or hiding indoors. You must engange in either melee or gun combat with the mercenaries to recieve the full reward. And remember, we'll be watching."

The reward has to be juicier than that. The Mercenaries are NPCs, which means wonderful auto-lock.

Oh, it's quite fun. For me, anyway. Some folks get rather upset when they don't win and we all begin cheering.

Yes, it seems the only ones eager to accept are rather fresh faces to Los Santos. That, or those that simply want a free, shiny, platinum rocket launcher.

Wave two - Send 2 people

Wave three - Send 2 groups of 2

Wave four - Send 3 groups of 2

Wave five - Send 2 groups of 3

 

But, send each group at a specific time interval set at the very beginning, that the player chooses.

 

So if they pick a shorter time limit they get more money, or more ammo, or something like that.

 

I think this could add for a very fun and intense type of game.

 

But all in all, I like it!

I'm going to ask a stupid question, because I haven't explored GTA Online too much yet. Plus, some things only started working for me a few days ago ... though I still don't have my CE extras.

 

Anyway ... how do you watch the action? Does this happen when you send out mercenaries?

You can view people in your session on your tv in your apartment/garage at anytime.
