Running to the wrong car/cover

Don't know if it's just my friends and me, but sometimes the characters don't go to the correct target when going into cover or vehicles, despite being directly in front of the intended target. For example, when doing Out of Court Settlement and Editor and Thief for Martin, I or my partner runs back to our designated car after picking up the documents but even though we're standing in front of our car door, our characters always runs back to the killed target's vehicle and tries to get in. It takes several tries or moving the car several dozen yards away (even though we already were half the intersection away) in order to get in the right car. Anybody else experience this?

Why don't you take his car on Out of Court Settlement and get the extra 22k for it?
