You know, I've always been a theorist about Yankton. Not sure whether you know that, but people would say that there is no way we'd be able to go North Yankton.

I have been reading up online and Rockstar has "semi confirmed" a Liberty City DLC. Where you can go back and vist Liberty City. But with GTA 5 graphics and such. North Yankton Idk much about. Apart from its only a very small map, not much to explore. It was there to simply set the story up. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have been reading up online and Rockstar has "semi confirmed" a Liberty City DLC. Where you can go back and vist Liberty City. But with GTA 5 graphics and such. North Yankton Idk much about. Apart from its only a very small map, not much to explore. It was there to simply set the story up. Nothing more, nothing less.

Source? I believe you, I just want to see this for myself.

I tried to get answers in another topic (that has not caught on like this) about the size of NY.

How big is it compared to a neighborhood in LS or one of the small towns in Blaine County?

I'm not quite sure myself. If anything, I'd guess a little bigger than Grapeseed.

Very cool thread OP.

 

I only have one question about Ludendorff/North Yankton.

 

Why is it snowy during the mission Bury the Hatchet? It's clearly summertime in southern San Andreas. Having snow in a midwestern town in the summer seems like a really weird oversight.

I think the date is closer to October/November. I heard a radio DJ talking about the new $100 bill ("What am I gonna do with all my old ones?") so I think it's close to real time.

 

It's been snowing up there in the mountains a bit lately.

Guys... what u do is get to the limit a plane will take you, glide till you crash in water, jump out off pla e and enter skyfall cheat. Then when you hit water again do skyfall again and so on.......

Has anybody tried this yet? It's brilliant. Just joined the thread sorry if a reply has been made!

The theory is that Yankton is in Canada. Trevor also mentions Yankton in a few missions.

Like I said, it just seemed a little weird...like they were so excited about using snow textures they forgot about everything else they built :cool:

GTA logic strikes again!

 

Maybe the people at the beach are tourists? I know if I went to LA right now, I'd be in my speedo at the beach. Beats the 40ish degrees its been here lately.

Speedo? Dude you either trolled the f*ck out of me or you really aren't from around here. (I am :cool:).

 

Free advice...don't wear a speedo to a beach in the US. Unless you'd rather have girls point and laugh at you instead of talk to you, I know it's totally in style in lots of other places in the world....no idea why but I am aware of this.

 

On topic: Good to see NY getting love on the forums. Reminds me of LC in SA,

Oh my, wow, I never knew I made it into the main topic post, thanks. Has there been any luck so far? I've been looking through some of the text data files I got, no luck so far, I did find some things, but they most likely related to the two missions based there.

I kinda thought North Yankton to be like upstate New York....

Rural with farm land....

Pretty much southern Canada

Upstate NY doesnt look like that, even in the winter time. Ive been around all the countrysides around here, It looks too different than that, who knows though

And also i watched a video about GTA 5 - Max Payne 3 vehicles.ide and i saw there were vehicles : boblseigh and skimobile but these vehicles werent used in gta 5 :panic: !! THE VIDEO LINK :

 

DLC IS VERY POSSIBLE SET IN NY !! :panic::panic::panic:

If somebody could make a "car spawner" or trainer for console someone maby could move the bobsleight and skimobile over to gta v files and spawn it?

Won't be possible, the handling.dat file does not contain any lines for either vehicle, they wouldn't leave the model in without handling lines too. There seems to be a few cut vehicles from the game, with some handling lines being treated as comments (ignored by the game), but none relate to any snow vehicles. I also think DLC is a greedy scam.
