I spent about 6 hours online today doing missions and grinding races. I ranked up from 40 to 45, won enough races to get turbo and 2nd engine mod on my carbon, and saved about 100K in cash. I was minding my own business in free roam after upgrading my car when I got a message saying I was kicked by other players and sent to story mode. When I went back in I was back at level 40 and lost all of today's work.

 

Can other players really kick you like that? Or is it another problem with the servers?

This has already been answered many times..

 

It's the games default message for saying "hey sorry you lagged out dude"
