Catch up needs to go

The one thing that's pissed me off in races is the bashing/car ramming. Until today I realised the full effect of catch up.

 

20-30 seconds into this particular race on commute I start bobbing and weaving the destruction that's taking place in front of me, I manage to squeeze through thanks to my wonderful handling of the car, take a significant lead on the pack only to see my break lights come on!

 

I look at the map only to see people catching up to me on that long straight (where my car slowed down the most). Luckily some genius decided to cause more mayhem and held up everyone behind me with another insane crash. I start approaching the finishing line and my car behaves like it's just run out of fuel. What do you know, the guys that were a good 10 seconds behind me not only catch up but ram the sh*t out of me, I finish in 6th place...

 

Surely if they're going to have such a feature in the racing it needs to be toned down at least.
