Do we earn while offline?

So I was playing online for a bit and after getting repeatedly raped on freemode I switched back to SP while I had a smoke etc I had 19000 in the bank and nothing on me. When I go back online I had $19000 in the bank still and $3000 on me then at the top of the screen it said +$1000 so ended up with $4000 that I didn't have before.

 

Since the patch 1.04 do we earn offline or while in single player? Not complaining nut pretty confused

The $1000 sounds like the Good Sport bonus.

That's what I thought at first but there was no indication to what it was, and no idea where the other three grand came from, was only in SP for ten mins tops

No, you don't earn while offline. Where would you be earning income from? The $1000 was a good sport bonus. No idea what the other $3k was from, but sounds like either a bug or a cloud server screw up.
