Favourite PS3 Exclusive [POLL]

I have yet to play The Last of Us before I make my definitive decision... but for this moment, it's a cross between Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Journey.

For me, The Last Of Us was a disappointment, with awkward shooting, awkward swimming, etc. Just generally not as good as i was expecting/what other people lead me to believe. I prefer Uncharted.

 

My favourite PS3 exclusives are Uncharted, Motorstorm, Metal Gear Solid 4 and The Last Of Us nonetheless. I'm sure Beyond is also a really good game, I've just never played it. Same with God Of War, i have friends who love that game, i've just never played it myself.

 

Gran Turismo 4 sucked, i'm sure Forza is much better. (I would hope so for the sake of Xbox owners...) The Infamous was also terrible with awful, cheap graphics/psychics/animations/voice acting/level design and so on. Wasn't even worth downloading Infamous for free when Sony got hacked.

 

The Resistance was also f*cking terrible, i remember that was one of the first games i got for my PS3, i gave it a good day or 2 to grow on me but after a while i just had to admit to myself that it was terrible in every way.

 

Heavy Rain was pretty cool i guess, although i didn't like the way you couldn't actually control/play most of it, and i certainly hated the story line in some places, like at the beginning when he's "chasing" his son through the shopping mall. If it was me i would have pushed right through the crowd and got to my son in no time, but of course the game makes you walk at the slowest pace ever, makes it so you can't push through crowds etc, in a totally unrealistic way. To be fair though, if i was the kid, i wouldn't walk out into traffic like a total retard either, that is the reason why Heavy Rain wasn't that great. Because of the overly forced/scripted/unrealistic and limited scenarios.

EDIT: Remember the cars? The environment? The sound effects? The AI? The animations? Yeah, because that game was really top quality...

 

I guess i played it a few years late, i first played it when Sony got hacked and they offered it to us for free, but it sucked.

I dont fully understand the " series part " since only gt5 on ps3 ( or you count prologue too ), so if really only ps3 i would pick resistance, if series ( all ) i would go gt. Socom 1 and 2 awsome and gt 1 2 3 too 4 was nice and 5 lil dissapointed ( long delay big hype ). Resistance very good ( never played vita ) and shame they quite with the franchise.

I played the demos, and I loved them, even replayed them multiple times and kept coming back to freeroam.

Lot of good series on there, it is hard to make a vote. I may just have to either say Last of Us or Uncharted Series. They are both series that make the PS3 live up to it's expectations in my opinion. They kind of are the staple of what PS3 content offers.

 

Heavy Rain was fun, but I never replayed it and I was disappointed they never completed the chronicles..That is partly why I am not giving Beyond Two Souls benefit of the doubt. I am not gonna pay $40-$60 for more of an interactive movie than a game. The level designs on there kind of are little disappointing since they put so much good detail and emphasis on interactivity, then find an invisible wall that you cannot explore.

Can't make a choice in this poll. I beat The Last of Us a few months back and I just beat Beyond: Two Souls tonight. They are, without a doubt, 2 of the best stories I have ever had the chance to see on the ps3.

 

I did get quite a kick out of Daddy Dafoe though.

I have only ever cared about Metal Gear Solid and SOCOM, too bad that the PS3 versions of those series were off the chart sh*t compared to their PS2 predecessors.

The Last of Us gets my vote. Other than that, I really enjoyed the Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, God of War and Resistance series'. The Killzone series wasn't too bad, either.

Only exclusives I've played so far have been MGS4, 3DDGH, and alittle bit of Yakuza 3. MGS4 may not be as good as previous MGS games but still great. 3DDGH seemed like a good Zelda homage but it just is not designed well. From what I've seen I think I may enjoy Yakuza 3 and 4 a lot. Would probably like Demon Souls but already played Dark Souls on 360 and see little reason to go back.

 

Thanks to Two Best Friends I know to avoid sh*t like Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. Wtf does David Cage have to exist???
