*PETITION* RAISE PRICES. FIX ECONOMY

One of the worst suggestions I've ever read tbh.

Suspect a Rockstar plant trying to swing people round to high prices. What do high prices mean? Cash cards sales.

It's a f*cking game, what is GTA without a supercar and an AK? Not worth playing, that's what.

Hell, even with a supercar and an AK it's barely worth playing.

listen, i really appreciate you getting involved in the discussion, but trying to get through to you is like trying to teach a toddler algebra.

some people have a narrow minded perspective or tunnel vision if you like, and that is fine, you are who you are. but you must respect your limitations if that person is you.

everything you say is spoken without 'seeing the bigger picture' which massively inhibits your ability to convey intellectual, to the point, precise and truly considered thoughts.

i get the impression that you are very young, and hopefully as you get older you will learn :)

for now peace, little man :)

I'm actually concerned it's you who has the tunnel vision or rather you're trolling.

First I'd like to say that Rockstar themselves used the excuse "cash has no effect on gameplay" to sell their GTA Dollars online. For $20 I can have 1 million game dollars. So glitchers, high mission payouts etc can't be ruiniing the game anymore than a $20 cash card. All it ruins are Rockstar's profits from card sales.

Secondly, the best quote I spotted in this thread was "a sense of achievement is fun" - very true. When I worked with a team of guys to finish a mission and got $18,000 I felt like I'd achieved something. Now that this has been halved, I actually feel like I'm wasting my time since I'd achieve more income by doing GTA races or Survival.

As for "tunnel vision" the reason I accuse you of this, is that you're only seeing it your way. Very few people want to do hundreds of mission replays just to buy one car they've already raced/driven in the game a hundred times. It's not worth it. It also makes it incredibly hard to start off with a fresh character, and I feel really bad for the people who play GTAOnline later and do not get that initial boost. If you want to, that's great, give away 50% of your cash after each mission.

If you need more long play - then they need to add more things to do - rather than making it so others can't afford to buy anything (sorry but that is not fun for 90%).

Story Missions should go back to 150% of their original rate, but no quick replay (like now), and reduce payout by 50% if you've already played this mission more than 2 times in the last 24 hours. This prevents abuse, but gives good rewards giving people a feeling of acomplishment. This is important because you want players joining in on missions you host - and not bail out because they know they'll get very little for their efforts.

I joined a mission the other night, was an early one, 4K payout, since I'm a nice guy I hung around to help the other player, but the whole time you'd see Joining -> Left, Joining -> Left because nobody wants to muck around doing a mission they've already done for a lowsy 2 grand. It's quicker to steal a random car and legitimitley take it to LSC - no mission launch fee, no ammo/guns costs, not any more repetative than an easy mission.

Now sure, you could fair the playing field so everything paid fairly, and then raise prices on everything. But being able to buy/mod cars, get weapons etc - that is fun. Making it harder for people to enjoy those things may make them appreciate it more when they get it - but actually reduces the overall fun experience. It's a bit like watering down orange juice - you want to mix it 50/50 with water so it tastes bleh but lasts twice as long - we want to enjoy it full flavour and hopefully Rockstar poors another glass later in the evening.

Edit: oh and I'm not saying everyone should get what they want on day 1, I'm just saying that the timeline on where you get things - there is a balance - too long and it's too boring - too short and you don't appreciate it - I think for most people it's getting a bit on the 'too long' side with the latest payout cuts.

Good. Raise prices. That way legit players have to dedicate more time pinching every penny while us glitchers aren't even affected by it.

120k for an AR? I'd have to play survival six times just to get that, and that's if I get wave 10 completed each time.

3 mil for that car. Seriously? The law of supply and demand don't apply here, there is always supply and as long as prices don't get to where someone have to do 100s of missions for one item then demand will stay.

The only way your idea would work is with the stocks being up and running. Otherwise this is hopeless.

You'd have to complete wave 10 on survival 150 times to get that car, which takes atleast 20 minutes a match doing all that perfect would be atleast 50 hours of survival, which seems to be one of the best payouts you can get atm.

This is a game, if I wanted to spend 50 hours doing the same thing to make money it would be an actual job.

Games are for fun, sure a sense of achievement is nice but not getting paid enough to doing anything with that achievement is pointless.

This is gta online not the US economy alright, it should stay that way. If you raise the prices you have to raise the pay, or you can just go to real world prices like it is for the most part already, now if you really want it to be that un-fun raise the prices and pay everyone minimum wage for game hours and you'll have the US economy in a nutshell.

This isn't about the 1% having it all and everyone else suffering, it's about fun.

It'd be nice to see people care about fixing an actual economy, or that even understood what an economy is. How is the LSC glitch any different than the FED illegally printing billions of dollars? (Aside from the obvious fact that the FED chooses who gets it.)

when the lsc glitchers are banned things will get better economy wise.

It all starts with getting rid of the rotten apples.

To fix an economy, there needs to be one first.

Too lazy to read all the posts but I have to disagree with OP. New players are screwed because of it. I have played this game legitimately the whole time. It took me a while just to save up 200k for the cheapest 10 car garage. Not to mention the usual things that delay the saving of said GTA$ like new guns/attachments, vehicles/mods and hospital bills. And it will encourage more glitching or the sales of cash cards. If someone wants a super car bad enough, they will either glitch the money to get it or if they have money IRL, they will buy a cash card or 2. Glitching is the fastest and cheapest way to get the required amount to purchase an item of great value. Personally, this is a mess that if they find a solution to, it will end up screwing some folks over.

Shows how blind people really are, Rockstar says "economy," everyone adopts the term with no forethought.

And allowing more than 16 people per lobby could also be a source of fun.

technology restriction, need more RAM in the console itself............. or remove AI's completely.

AI's in this game have to send the same information as a real 'player' to all the players(in that location) 2 players and 20 ai cops is 22 lots of the same info(speed, stance, direction, animation, firing etc etc etc), that's why there aren't more real players per server.

This game is already too hard for the kids on this forum. Why do you think so many have to abuse glitches?

they say the payouts are too low but regular progression without cheating at all is still fast. That being said i think the payouts and everything are fine, they should just reset everyone who abused glitches.

I only have 300k from Stimulus and bunch of mission rewards and you want things to be more expensive while I can even barely buy craps??

$600 sticky bomb is already expensive and mission that needs firepower has money reward that mostly can't even recoup your money we spent on preparation.

Anyway, propose that idea to Rockstar and request them to give it exclusively to you.

You guys need to think long term, not just about what you want.

Right now everything is easy to gain access to with a few mission etc.

Pretty soon it will come to the point where everybody in the game has purchased the most expensive thing and has a load of excess cash lying around with not much to do with it.

long term? nigga int nobody got time fo dat. we wanna have fun NOW, this is a game, not real life. i play games because i wanna have FUN NOW, not fun a couple months down the road...

and when a game has such a low re-play value as does gtav, they need to hurry up

There is an economy in GTAO. It's just sh!tty AS F*CK!! R* is governing San Andreas like a 3rd world government/dictatorship. Basically making it to where we're desperate to buy cash cards. Who the F wants to grinds these repetitive azz missions all day just to save up for 1 item, then have to grind the same crap all over again for the next thing you want. I must've done coveted like 200 times smh. I'm so glad that some random hacker gave me a huge sum of money. This game is so much fun now. I wish I knew who he was. My character worships him on GTAO as GOD

Ak47 irl is like 1k Bugatti irl is around 1million.

If you think 1k is a reasonable price for an AK I'd like to sell you mine...
