*PETITION* RAISE PRICES. FIX ECONOMY

You guys need to think long term, not just about what you want.

 

Right now everything is easy to gain access to with a few mission etc.

 

Pretty soon it will come to the point where everybody in the game has purchased the most expensive thing and has a load of excess cash lying around with not much to do with it.

 

Inflation is bad, and you want the worst combination higher prices without matching wages. I like deflation, is the cure to all your ills. I say lower prices to match lower wages.

 

In fact supply and demand are not even relevant since supply is magically created by Rockstar

Your just a loon if you think I want inflated prices 1million for pistol and upgrades 250 thousands. Try selling higher prices to the populace and Ill be right there talking about how deflation is their solution.

I make about 100k an hour just from deathmatches and races. I mean you get like 12k a race and 9k a deathmatch.

 

- I always win Deathmatches and races though so I get the maximum amount.

We're already making less money and spending more on some items. Glitchers ruined it for the people that actually play the game the way it was meant to be played, we don't need to let them ruin it for us even more...

No thanks, I'm only at 140k so far and I usually don't do any missions (I only do the coop contact missions). Most of the time I'm just freeroaming/exploring the map or going on a roadtrip with friends. Don't even have an apartment yet and I'm still using my first car + going strong with the weapons I have at my disposal (level 16 atm).

 

Raising the prices will punish all the legit players (excluding grinders + glitchers). Going to use the Stimulus pack for an apartment and a new car (and I'll possibly buy a cash pack in the near future too to afford a few more cars).

So first you make a thread where you want to gift people 10 mil, a small competition, because you have too much money.

 

Then you make THIS thread saying that everything is too cheap even for honest players.
No it is not, the amount of money needed to upgrade ONE car is insane. Weapon upgrades cost 10-20k already, and that is also A LOT.

Current missions give jack sh*t.

 

Prices are already a lot higher Online than in Single Player.

I dont care about the costs of things, price changes or not, items arent exactly enticing, there is nothing worthwhile to buy in the game. Like ive said before, have a rating system that allows a vote to be placed on mission variety and another on mission payout. All the current system is doing is allowing boring but high payout missions to be nerfed.

From what I remember it took somebody more than a year to reach the max level, or something like that, it took him a VERY long time, and he was a hardcore player.

People will ALWAYS manage to get the content quickly.

You can join any MMO and level up to max in 2-7 days. You can join GTA and farm until your eyes bleed and be able to come to these forums and make retarded topics like "everything is too cheap.

 

Maybe it is too cheap for you, because you are a sad glitcher, it is not too cheap for us.

 

Besides, having to do 10 missions to get a Rifle won't make me feel any better when I get that rifle, because that item doesn't excite me more if it's more expensive.

And that is the whole answer you need.

 

The journey in GTA Online will end at some point and it will only be fun to cruise around and do stupid sh*t, but not do missions or races.

Deflation would solve all long term issues faster, and with more stability then higher prices. The future what I call long term is best set by stability of prices that match wages which is best solved by general across the board deflation to higher inflated prices.

 

Higher inflated prices would kill the future of this game, or its long term goals.

No rare items that players want to buy/have to sell

I could go on and on, but with all of the reasons I was going to list, I realized it's just the fact that there isn't an abundant of items.

 

Super geeky/old comparison is Runescape. There's an economy because of the amount of items/options and the demand from user to user. Earn/find something cool, there's at least one other player who wants it and will trade cash for it.

 

What are you going to sell to another player on GTA online? A car? hah

 

Without more items/consumables/reasons to spend, the economy is pointless.

People get bored and quit if there's no chance of achieving what they want either. Why do you think that end-game is now achievable by most people in MMORPGS? Is it because it was dumbed down? Not really, computer games has never been hard if you don't play against other players, except for old NES games. It's because most people can't play 6-8 hours per day for weeks, grinding for just one particular thing. People don't want to just experience X% of a game that they play, cause it's not fun nor is it enjoyable.

 

At the moment, I personally feel that the prices are quite balanced. I guess I could afford all upgrades available for me right now, but I don't feel like they're worth it - so it's definitely not too cheap, but I wouldn't say that it's too expensive either. Then again, I had to remake my character so it's not that high leveled yet. Perhaps it will get different the higher up I come, then again - I guess the prices will continue to match the income though.

i agree with this. i already got a nice apartment and all the guns with attachments up to my level. the only thing i can use money on now is car mods and save up for a super car. AND we still got 500k coming to us which is ridiculous. i dont deserve 500k so why should i get it for free.

I completely agree, OP. Everything is readily available. There's no challenge and no feeling of reward with this kind of economy. An apartment should be something special, something almost unattainable.

If you want it to be so unattainable and "special", I imagine you'd want a full wipe aswell so thats its just as unattainable and "special" for you as it is for the new players ?

 

Get them to Reset us all and ill gladly back your proposal hewen, as it will have the same impact on the entire playerbase, instead of just punishing those who avoided farming or glitching.
