jet races are terrible

just played one and I won but it is a total crapshoot. whoever gets lucky and manages to get in first place and out of range of the heatseekers will win. how about you add some skill into the mode rockstar? I mean the heatseekers will lock on to people even if they are not anywhere close to the square

Yea I tried a few of these as well, never again.

There is some skill involved in avoiding the missiles. They can't make sharp turns so if you make a sharp turn as soon as you hear the beep, you can avoid them. Also, if you get enough of a lead, the other players will not be able to get a lock on you.

I found that the only chance you have of winning is to hold back and be in last place and the other players normally take care of each other. I agree though that jet races are more to do with getting lucky than skill.
