Job Fee?

Maybe this has been happening all along and I never realized it, but it costs money to start a job? I checked my transaction log, as I do often, and it was filled with $200 charges from races I started. Either I am slow or this was recently implemented? Why does every move they make feel like I am being bent over?

I was totally broke after a good brawl, and went to start a race to get some fast cash...

 

"Sorry. You need $300 to start this job."

Hahahaha....I got a message after I totally bankrupted myself on car upgrades and ammo, it said something like "you don't have enough cash to join"

 

I was like WTF?!?! Thought it was a glitch/error. Guess not. Just never been that low on money before and never noticed the insignificant amount being taken.

Oh...and someone put a 9K bounty on me 30 seconds into the game. Haven't left my garage yet wtf.

I think it doesn't charge a fee by going (driving to and walking into the circle) to the icon, but it does when trying to launch from the pause map. Not 100% sure though.

I could be wrong, but I believe a fee is deducted from your account only if you choose to start a mission/activity immediately (by pressing select- holding x on Xbox while having your cursor over the activity icon on the map). A fee is not charged if you drive to the mission/activity location and initiate it by walking into the blue circle/start zone or if you accept a job/invite from a message on your phone.

Woah.. really? I know there's one if I go into an invite and have a wanted level or for certain types of races. Just didn't realize it was all of the time.

If you had a bounty last on you when you logged out last, then it will carry over when you log back in

it won't deduct from your account,it has to be in cash... When I try to join a quick job through the pause menu it will only let me do missions when I have no cash - soon as I get cash from the account I can choose anything.

 

Driving to the circles and walking has never given me this problem, I think it is a charge for teleporting from where you are to where the job is.

If the fee is from the teleport, it is understandable. I have started a job and quit immediately to travel across the map in the past. However, I started the race, and then used the REPLAY function 4 times, and it hit me with a fee for all of them. Unless the fee is universal, walking or teleport, it sucks that it keeps leeching after the initial teleport.

It happens for survival; I've noticed a $350 deduction when entering.

Has nothing to do with teleporting, as I usually walked into the circle to start it.

Just flying around way up in the air in a Cargobob. 4 others were around me circling, but they seem to have given up.

And I was just killed while IN my garage.

 

Parachuted to the ground across the street from my apartment. 2 guys in a buzzard were shooting missiles at me, and missed.

 

I make it to the garage, screen goes black for 30 seconds...then I hear the "death sound".

 

WTF? I WAS IN.

I'd be happy to pay a job fee if I could actually join a job.

I keep getting made the host when I use 'quick job'.
