GrndZero
Well, OP, there are some of us that bought it on a console and will buy it again once it gets released for the PC. Kind of sucks but I couldn't tell you how many times through the 20 years of gaming on a PC that I have bought a game more than once either because I could no longer find my game disc or I was stationed overseas and was dying to play a game again and just bought it again and had it shipped to me. PC gamers will often go back and play games a second or more times when we have upgraded to see how much different it is with higher specs. A good majority of the console only people never keep their games. They just sell/trade them in. I for one have kept every console game I have bought through the years. I just hope they have something like the video editor like they did for IV.

Er, doesn't really answer my question Honestly? We're used to it. It's kinda hard-coded into our DNA at this point. That's what I kind of thought. Still, V is a different kettle of fish imo. Even if I had a really high end gaming PC, I honestly don't think I could resist the temptation of going out and picking up a pre-owned console solely to play V. bash the fash m8s

There's a lot of reasons people wait for the PC version of a game. Not just GTA. Any game, really. I know the feeling all too well with Assassin's Creed (Though at least Ubisoft bothered to announce the delays, lol). Some people don't have a lot of money left after upgrading their machines, some people don't have a lot of money in general, some people wish to experience the game in its full technical potential. Not just graphics. But performance, precision and smoothness. There's also the common reason; modding and full control over your game. Modding is the obvious part here, of course. But I think, in my case, I really like having control of my game. I feel somewhat more in-charge of matters when I realize I can turn to modding or modifying the game in other ways If I wish to achieve something within it. Like various trainers, scripts and other common stuff. It's the same feeling you get when you have access to a developer console. You know you can use a lot of tools to un-f*ck yourself out of a lot of situations (Bugs, corrupt gameplay portions and so on). You really can't do this on consoles. I'm stuck with a decent PC and an Xbox 360. With very little spending money on games due to house renovations and other such things. I don't want to buy the damn console version because I'm awful with a controller. I grew up with a keyboard and mouse and find It absolutely impossible to adjust to a controller. I don't know If I'm somehow comprehensively retarded in this case, but even when I get used to the controls; I just can't use the thumbstick as camera control. I don't feel like I have precision or complete comprehension of the game itself (I realize precision isn't really *supposed* to be a part of console gaming. Rather, aim assist accounts for that, but I just don't feel it) Of course, there's that XIM3 keyboard and mouse emulator, but that thing is out of my reach in many respects at this point in time. The wait is hard and the silence is undoubtedly the worst thing about it. 2013 or 2014. I don't care. Just announce it already. RetardOfTheYear
I had a PS3 for gran turismo 5, because I'm a racing/simulation games fan so I need to test it, but other than that, I would've wait for the PC version of GTA V without problem, as I did for GTA IV, the explanation is, you just wait, and it's not difficult, considering it will be the best version as always. Smith John
@Xerukal In regards to the controller thing; That was actually quite an intriguing insight into the PC gamers world. I honestly can't fathom the unability to use a controller, but then I grew up with console gaming (although I remember playing GTA 1 and MDK on my ancient Packard Bell back in the day). bash the fash m8s

God Of GTAO
The PC version will just be hell for online gamers as they dont have a parent company like Sony & Microsoft to monitor online activity for a contracted amount of time, therefore the balance and fairness will and never is as good as the console version. lol232
That's exactly what I did, I had 300 Euros spare so I bought a used PS3 for 130 Euros and GTA V Collectors Edition for 140 Euros. I also got GTA IV Complete Edition for those spare 30 Euros (a week before the release of GTA V), even though I already have it on the PC. God Of GTAO
Everyone knows the Xbox360 was the first to fall to hackers on GTAIV multiplayer. Then the PC fell because it released later but fell instantly as it it with 90% of games released on the platform. Then the PS3 fell maybe a year before GTAV which is very impressive and only because Rockstar re-positioned management away from GTAIV.
Vorpax
Because lots of us lost the hype thats why (no i'm not speaking of majority, but those who feel the same way as myself...) and thats all thanks to R*s successful efforts to completely f*ck up GTAV with ruined mechanics, like broken cop AI, inconsistent vehicle damage and other stuff...So i'd like to thank R* in a way for putting all of my hype to rest, so now i won't have to check on hundred news about GTAV version on PC each single day like a freaking maniac, because literally i don't give two pennies about this game anymore and nothing is going to change it!...Now my hype is switched to Watch Dogs instead, though i was kind of bummed to find out it got delayed by almost six months... Go on Youtube and search GTA IV mods PS3. Chances are there are videos that were uploaded before 2012.. I still don't see what you're getting at here though. The PC fell? Fell how? So yeah like Otter said hardcoded into our DNA. Also there are other games coming out next week, so I'll be sweet for a long time. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm not talking for a lot of people here when I talk about my controller problem, lol. I seem to be a special case. As I said, though. I grew up with a keyboard and mouse only. Never touched a console before the 360. Not even out of some kind of PC pride or anything, just pure ignorance towards anything else, lol.
