BF Surfer appreciation thread - show us your camper!

After a hard day at work I decided to take "Doris" for a drive out. I planned to take her to beach at some point and thought that my waistcoat and bow tie were perhaps a little over dressed for the occasion, so I stopped by at Ponsonbys for some shorts. On the way I spotted tylerBUTT and "Frenchy" in my rearview mirror taking photos of us.

After a change of clothes we headed East for the Tongva Hills waterfall. Along the way we met up with Volksbuster.

On arrival it was still dark so we parked up and greeted each other with a bro love salute

The scenery was so nice we decided to hang out until sunrise taking photos and climbing the rocks

tylerBUTT had to leave us, so Volksbuster and I headed to the vineyard to pick up some wine.

We thought about heading west to Fort Zancudo but soon realised that a BF Surfer is no match for a tank.

I needed some smokes and Pisswasser so a quick stop off on Route 68 was in order. No where to park out front so we pulled up next door at Ammunation.

As it was now morning we thought we would take some time to reflect and stopped by Great Chaparral Chapel.

It was here that we met up with Pete_GER. What better excuse than to open up a bottle of Pisswasser.

After a little time with the big man in the clouds we moved on to the Zancudo River. Unfortunately I'd got a taste for the ale by this time and was still downing bottles of the brown stuff.

As afternoon approached and the vans covered in sand and dirt we headed to the hand car wash, only to find the place had closed down in 1954.

It seemed the whole town was deserted as we tried the local motel for the night to find that this had also been mothballed.

With the sun setting we had no choice but to consider bunking in our vans.

It was then we got the call from the local sheriff. A gang from out of town was causing trouble at Trevor's airfield. We quickly hit the road. After despatching (read: brutally murdering) the offenders we had a drag race down the airstrip.

The trouble at the airstrip had left the vans a little battered and wounded so we took them to the only place we could trust, Beakers.

After an awesome (and quick) repair we drove down to the beach using a footpath which was awkward. No Sat Nav in these babies. We messed around until sunrise roof surfing and van hopping.

After sheltering from the morning sun under the pier

We took some photos of each other

And ourselves

After racing a train down the rail tracks we drove on through the woods and stopped for a great photo opportunity on a bridge, where my camera decided to stop working.

As night fell once again having been up and driving for 24 hours I let "Doris" have a sleep in an old ship container.

Volksbuster left us and myself and Pete_GER invited ourselves to a party in the Vinewood Hills. I tried to take a photo of myself next to a topless woman, but her boyfriend wasn't amused. It got a little out of hand and we got some unwanted police attention.

After a great day and night, I'd like to say it all ended sweetly but after my fight we tried to rob a security van and were both gunned down by the police. The vans were impounded and Pete_GER had to drive us both home in his Ratloader. I'm not sure "Doris" will be pleased with me when I collect her from the impound later.

A specfic beach, there's one pretty much 95% of the time there.

The one to the left of the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness (left of where it says Blaine County), right next to that white sign with the 1 on it.

 

There's one always parked there by the people camping, or one driving very close by.

Just wanted to say that these little buses can take a beating! I smashed the driver door and sliding door off mine while trying to cargobob it. Then flew it up to the top of maze bank and drove off. Landed on its wheels and didn't blow up! Manly potato was inside. .

Has anyone else spent AGES changing the paint on there bus.

 

I will change the top colour, then go through all the colours for the bottom and then repeat it.

 

So many nice colour combinations. get stuck for choice.

So, I've looked through the topic. Maybe I'm an idiot and missed it, but nobody can seem to give a sure answer on what the passenger limit is for the BF Surfer.

I've got a Speedo, but I'm thinking of replacing it with the Surfer if it can hold at least four people.
