There's a lot they can add on with this game and a lot of updates they can release.

You guys really gotta stop with the whole abandon all hope routine, it's the first month, they've had a lot of problems and issues they probably didn't expect (at least to this extent) I'm sure once things get stable we'll see a lot more updates/newer content.

I agree with this but for how long can it be entertaining to do repetitive missions over and over again to get a car that goes 10 mph faster or an apartment that has more square footage you can do absolutely nothing with?

Where do you see them adding anything unique that isn't already in game (doing a go here, shoot up this, steal this, lose cops, return it here mission , to make money to buy a car or apartment?)

What is the future of this game that is not already in it besides more of the exact same?

What would you like Honey? a mission where you have to cook a 3 course meal for the troops at Fort Zancudo? It's GTA, how are you not already familiar with the mission mechanics?

Ok, so now you are calling me honey and suggesting I go cook for the troops in fort zancudo.

Should have known better than to try to have a normal discussion here. Closing internet browser in disgust/rage.

I AM SORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, BUT MY WEBCAM IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH.

I find your lack of fath, disturbing.

Love the quote!

But sadly I think I agree with Ackbar on this one (starwars!!!) After the nerfing of the missions I doubt heists will pay well.

Yea.. I also believe they will get old soon with not much profits.

I dont mind 5-7 heists but there should be two options to go like SP. Otherwise what was the point of planning rooms?

Its not only the "not much profit" , it's also that 75 percent of the player base has cheated to have more money than they ever will need. Will these repetitive missions be fun for players that have nothing left to purchase because they have 300 mil in the bank? (I've not done this but nearly everyone has)

Yea.. Heists were supposed to be the big jobs that everyone would be looking forward to make big amount of money. It was like a mainevent of the game after which people were supposed to get expensive stuff. Also, not everyone who glitched has made 1000's of billions of cash... I doubt the majority of glitchers have made that kind of money from glitching. I did it.. and only for the cars and mods. So lets say someone has a few millions in his bank.... it will eventually go away in a few months. With medical bills, car insurance & ammo.. the money will go away unless people stop playing the game before they're out of money.

But yea, I understand your point. Will it be fun when its not the reward you are looking for but are just in it for the thrill?... I think so.. it depends on how things will work. It is a great concept and can be very interesting. Lets see how Rockstar will handle this.

After playing The Parking Garage, I'm wondering if "planning" will be like that.

Each person is responsible for a particular objective which, when combined, brings it all to fruition.

Not to mention that there was an article (which, f*ck me, I can't find it) that said that at least one heist had twenty pre-heist steps to it.

This guy references it as well, so I know I'm not crazy. I just can't find it. :(

p

Heres the twist after all that the payout is prolly 100k........with fib or someone takin their cut

For the glitchers they probably wont need the cash, just the rp, they will be on here moaning after 2 hours of release, having played heist 1 and 2, the same people with rank 81 etc,

I think we'll get 1 heist and it will be to rob a 24 hour convenience store

and the choices for roles will be:

1. Person buying Terry's chocolate orange

2. Person buying Wispa Gold

3. Person Buying Mars Bar

4. Person assembling kinder surprise toy

5. Person with gun holding up shop keeper

6. Person reading OK! magazine and gasping at the new Katy Price wedding photos

Man you people love to moan and complain... Look, Rockstar knows the heists have to deliver, which is probably why they took them offline. There are planning rooms in the $200k+ apartments in which requirements for each heist will be planned and carried out by you and members of your crew. They aren't going to make you buy a million dollar plane, and then only give you $750,000, thats just idiotic to think... This is a major game development house here, and they do know what they are doing. At the same time, even if there are only 3-5 heists available to begin with, don't expect to be able to blaze through them in a day... Rockstar wants a stable in-game economy. These will take time and planning, and you will need crew members to help you. I doubt these will be one objective run and gun mission, I suspect there will be multiple missions to set up the heist ahead of time, and to complete the heist as a whole. For example, one man is the getaway driver, one man flies the copter, one man sticks the gas in the A/C system, perhaps another monitors the traffic lights to divert police and unwanted attention while two or three run in for the smash and grab. Who knows, Rockstar could really do a lot with this, but Seriously though, if you aren't enjoying the game - leave. Don't sit here and waste more of your time complaining about how you've been wasting your time playing GTAV.... It's a VIDEO GAME and as such is ALWAYS going to be a waste of time.

They will be what you make of them.

Exactly. Leave it up to this forum to start complaining about things that haven't even been released yet. No matter what R* adds, people will still whine about how it's not enough.

I want heists to be good, but I doubt they'll be anywhere near as good as Rockstar were trying to make out.

Online has some big complicated missions buuut almost all of them are easily doable with 2 players (only exception I can think of is Landing Gear, just because you need to deliver 3 planes). Actually most of the missions are easily done solo (you'll have some difficulties handling multiple vehicles, when the hacking/safecracking minigames crop up and with the timer on Judging the Jury).

Basically one well-equipped well-positioned player is worth approximately infinity enemies, so I'm kind of doubting the need for whole crews for heists. If those big complicated missions can be done with 1 or 2 players then I wonder how many moving parts they'd need to add to make large crews necessary.. bearing in mind that I think there's a limit to how many enemies they can spawn at a time. Only way I see big teams as necessary is with some hilariously elaborate and arbitrary objectives. "HACK 5 DIFFERENT TERMINALS SIMULTANEOUSLY! BECAUSE REASONS"

I mean being able to pick from different approaches was a nice idea for the SP heists, but it was kinda underutilized and I'm not convinced they'll be able to flesh things out better in multiplayer.

I agree i think the heists will have tiny payouts and youll probably have to spend money on buying vehicles or heist related items that are not cheap. Like buying a million dollar plane or bribing the cops or someone or the mission giver will take the largest portion of the cut. Heists probably wont even be replayable or they will which will be why the payouts will be so low. Id be surprised if a heist payout gave us a 6 figure payout that resulted in it being all profit.

I agree with the heist not paying out 6 figures or more, unless they release several items that are quite a bit more expensive than what is out now. Would make it ridiculously easy to buy anything at that point.

Let's look at the game like it was an mmo (whether or not you think it is an mmo, that can be discussed elsewhere). Even if only four to six heist do come out there will undoubtedly be more later down the road. I also see them continuing to add more and more things to spend money on as they will need a reason for people to buy cash cards.

The content creator is going to be another thing that will keep people playing. Upon it's release it will only be for things like races and tdm, but R* has stated that eventually you will be able to create missions as complex as those found in the single player game. I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty awesome to me.

Another thing I can think of is the ability to purchase multiple properties for storing vehicles and acting as safe houses for when you have a bounty on your head and what not. I could spend hours thinking up unique additions to the game that would make it so kuch better, but i,ve gone on long enough. Thanks for reading.

Yup, will probably only be 3-5, which is extremely disappointing. I bought the game because I thought they were already in there. What would be great is if they could keep adding heists. Like weekly or something. Or at least let us rob banks and clothes stores and other stores (but make it HARD!).

if people are pinning all their hopes on heists saving the game i think they are going to be disappointed, personally i love the game & heists will just be something extra to do,if i was already bored with the game,a few heists wouldnt change that.

You know what boggles me, why do people keep playing games that they say aren't giving them enjoyment? What kind of messed up logic sends people down that path? If a game stops being fun, I personally will stop playing it because it no longer holds entertainment value.

All of you fail to realize this is the first time Rockstar has ever tried to enter the online mmo-ish type game. It's been in development since GTA3, I guarantee you Rockstar doesn't always get things right at first but they always deliever. Ye have little faith

I think most of us know this deep down inside but are trying to cling to some strand of hope. Is anyone with me on this?

How many heists do you actually think they will add? 3? 4? How bored will you be of the same ones after 3 days?

Yeah and they won't pay sh*t from the looks of things.

This game died faster the the Nintendo Wii U!

I agree with this 100%. Todays gamers for some reason feel entitled to have everything immediately, even though no major online mmo type game has ever had a smooth launch. If this game continues to be a success, they will continue to add more DLC as long as they are making money on the project. This will be an evolving game, in a year or two it will be much different than it is now I imagine. There will always be complainers about whatever they come out with though, that will never change with any game.

Go into solo and spot all the banks and you'll have a estimate of how many heists there will be. It will probably be set up like stores where they close afterwards for a real time week. You cant do more than 1 a week either as lay low mode. So we can look at 400k to 1 million payouts to split between 4 players.

IV was their first attempt at online multiplayer, and guess what? It f*cking worked. It was damn good. Then they threw it away and made something much f*cking worse. If this really was in development since GTA3, well, they wasted their f*cking time.

lol yup, they sit there playing it all night still & then come on here afterwards & whine that the game is useless,me thinks some people need a life,or maybe just a new game.

At least the payout has to be big. If it isn't over 1m, why there would be vehicles worth over 1,5 million?

I very highly doubt theyll be over 1m, maybe 3 or 4 heists combined will be around 1m, but one heist will not give us that much, my guess would be anywhere from 150k-250k
