Dude...she's a girl and she uses a male character. Which by the OP and other ignorant f*ck's opinions must obviously mean she has the same sexual "issues" as a male playing as a female. Or is it okay because she's a girl...is there some form of double standard in play here? Please, one of you webtards who think it's "weird" let me know how your rulebook justifies this.

And what's this sh*t about "roleplaying" a female character some of you are saying. If you're roleplaying a character as opposed to playing a video game then believe you me, you have deeper rooted issues than you can accuse anybody of.

I play a girl...because I like boobs. You can keep your 6 pack character

Male characters don't even have six packs though! They're all a bunch of "skinny fat" douchebags. I wish they'd had included body morphing in this, then we'd really see the issues people have, bunch of roided up chumps running around. It's all about that "male power fantasy" right?

Solid Scorpion

2 character slots. Character slot 1 - male. Character slot 2 - female.

Put these two slots together and you unlock either Character slot 3 - GTA baby or Character slot 4 - give a fk, it's just a game.

I thought people had moved past this due to the lack of new threads on the subject. I guess not.

so many guys these days love roleplaying as women in games. its happening a lot in GTA:O. I always chalk it up to some unresolved sex issues and/or sexual neuroses. when guys do this I believe they are trying to create a female alter ego for themselves. maybe the guys who do this are just trying get free items from the white knights online, who knows? but I don't buy into that whole 'i'd rather look at a female characters ass for hours rather than a guy'. I think thats bullsh*t. I think somewhere deep inside these guys wanna get in touch with their feminine side or something

Reading this multiple times gave me cancer but I'm laughing at you.

YOU have issues. Not males who play female characters.

Okay, so I decide to have a little fun for a change and because I love girls A LOT, and I get called a weirdo and having sex problems?

Man, f*ck you all.

It's weird because that's how you justify playing as a girl. If you have to think twice about it and reassure your insecurity that it's okay to play as a female character then that's when it becomes weird.

Imo, and ofc, not everyone will share the same opinion ( because some guys playing girl characters actually DO have sexually confused tendencies ) but that's when I think it got weird. When you had to go out of your way and justify to your brain why you're doing it.

I have a male character and if I were to make a female one ( and I will once they improve the bland character creation system ), I wouldn't be worried about what other people say. I'd play the game and let all the nerds get mad over which sex to play as.

it would've been nice if they implemented some feature that recognized your sex from your psn or xbl profile info and just set you to that. That would've ended all this nonsense and perverts trying to justify to everyone else how staring a virtual woman's ass is better than a man's ass for hours on end in a video game.

When did this game turn into grand theft sex confusion 5?

I don't really care about it, but if they pretend that they are a girl + playing as a female avatar but ended up being a guy in real life then that is just so wrong in many levels.

I know a couple of guy friends who have female avatars but they don't pretend as a girl and tries to get free items. I was once in a mission with my guy friend and his female character and this random in the mission was so over-protective of my guy friend's female avatar. So when my friend got on the mic and said "Bro, stop being a white-knight, I'm a guy you know." in his manly voice the guy went quiet. Oh god I never lol'd so hard.

So in the end, I don't really care about it. You don't see us girls complaining about playing as guys character anyways, so I don't get why people would be shocked if guys play as female characters. :/

Meh, not for me, but I have plenty of guy friends that have a girl character...lulz do ensue often.

I would break guys playing as girl characters down as 50% for fun/laughs. 40% for variety/dat ass. 10% oddballs.

Roleplaying as a female in game means texting and talking as a female. That is kinda strange for a straight male...but there are planty of gay or transgender folks out there that would find it perfectly normal and comfortable.

The average straight guy with a female character though isnt roleplaying at all. I talk on mic with a full on deep male voice acting and playing normally but get the mild pleasure of seeing a female on my screen instead of a male. Its not like im getting a stiffy or anything but me thinks the female walking in high heels is sexy. And taking cover in a miniskirt is positively amusing.

I dont think you should care who is behind the avatar personally.

My second character is a female. I created her because after so much time looking at the backside of a dude, sometimes you want to stare at a virtual female's ass while killing throngs of gangbangers, mercenaries and cops. So that makes me a deviant with repressed sexual issues?

No.

It's f*cking video game, you morons. (I speak to the OP and the 357 idiots who share is warped train of thought.) My characters aren't an extension of any desires I might have, or fantasies I want to live out. They're online avatars with their own separate character identities. I can't even say I'd call them "creative works" because the level of customization you have available is pretty shallow. But at the end of the day, they're video game characters. That's it. The fact that you and idiots that think like you vest so much thought and energy into a subject like this is a telling tale that the people with the repressed issues are you...for thinking so deeply into psychology of why other males uses female characters in a video game. Is it effecting you? Is it ruining your gaming experience? (Unless you tried to hit on a "virtual" female to find out it was actually a dude, if that's the case...you've got a couple more issues that need dealing with.) Stop worrying about what everyone else is doing, play the f*cking game, enjoy playing the f*cking game, and shut the f*ck up. Your inept opinion as to why males use female avatars and vice versa isn't changing sh*t. It just makes you look like an insecure, immature, sexually and mentally repressed imbecile.

Which probably isn't that far off from being true, is it?

EDIT: Now if the dude is actually TRYING to be a female, and play the rouse of being female to fool other users, yea...he's got something wrong with him. But that's not even close to the majority of male users with female characters. Caddymanlnl summed it up perfectly in his post. But to lump all males with female avys in that category of being deviants? f*ck you and the horse you rode in on.

sry dude but you made yourself out to be the perfect example I was talking about. All you're missing is an avatar on this site that involves tits or ass or both, just asa reminder to yourself and everyone else that you are NOT a lover of man meat and that you love women instead.

srsly if you wanna play a female character then just do it. Who gives a crap what ppl think? No need to throw a fit like some brat. I'm sure your parents didn't raise you to act in such an embarrassing manner.

And besides, if you are gay, who cares? =p

This is a long thread.

MY 2 CENTS: So every guy who's ever played any Tomb Raider, any Metroid, the second Saints Row, chose female on Skyrim, chose to be female on GTA Online, or any other game that allows you to be female, they're some weirdo who wants to get in touch with their girly side, according to you. That's spoken like a true closed-minded individual who probably lives in a trailer and gets attracted to their own family members. That, or a man who likes looking at the back of another man for days, weeks, months on end, but hey, if that's what gets you off...

Give playing as a female a try, you honestly might like it.

I really don't know what's funnier, the OPs offence to something that really doesn't effect him in any way, or the obvious trolls that have gone straight over his head. Brilliant.

I use a female avatar but at no point do I hide the fact I'm a bloke. I did it as the option was there and it's different. The crew I'm with know this and have no issues. She always dresses with class (no bikini and body amour) and can handle herself very well in a fight.

Give people options and it makes the game more varied, and slightly more realistic. On a 16 people server, a handful of female avatars adds to the variety.

Hell, long post sorry

Man I just love seeing nice looking girls who dresses nicely. I too love my girl for dressing simple and nice, just like I do to my female character.

On the other hand, I also have male character and I dress him like a real masculine and tough gentleman who knows how to fight and f*ck.

And yes, I'm a guy and I like seeing female's body. Pervert? No. I'm just being straight in my sexual orientation and I like jerking off once in a while. It's refreshing. It's like a late night sport for an adult male with such an active lifestyle like me.

Sorry to say, but you just got to get something to do in your life and see the world more.

The first time I fired up GTAO my wife was watching and just for fun we chose a female character. The first randomly generated one kind of looked like her, so I stuck with it. Some ancestor adjustments, hairstyle and clothing choices, and its pretty close. She even drives the same care we have IRL, a dark blue Buffalo (Dodge Charger).

I get the odd guy trying to be a douch - one guy spent an entire session bringing me cars, killing anyone coming close to me, inviting me to his apt, and even drove me down to the beach to watch the sunset. I sent him a message that I'm a dude, and his reply was didn't matter, it was all in fun - he's not a murderous car thief either.

My wife gets a kick out of seeing all the badass things she does in GTAO. Every once in awhile she makes me go to the clothing store to buy new outfits. Good thing I won the SA State Lottery a few times.

I hear ya!. My character is named after my wife as is the private plate. I let my wife take my avatar into Binco! I swear she literally bought everything that was unlocked and it cost tens of thousands. This was before I won the SA lottery.

Depends. one could argue that guys playing as guys are homos. i mean why would you look at a male characters ass when you can look at a females

either way many of the women i play various games with tend to use male characters because it stops idiot people hitting on them so much.

if they ever allow me to customize my character i might make it a girl. aint many of the male haircuts and styles i honestly like much and other trivial things.

We Are Ninja

I worry more about the guys who have a problem with this than the guys who play female characters. Either:

A) They saw a hot chick in-game, flirted with her, found out it was a dude, and then started worrying whether this meant they were secretly a little bit gay.

Or B) They have trouble separating fiction from reality. They try to make their characters look as much like themselves as possible, and try to believe that's really them on the screen doing all this badass sh*t. They believe that everyone else plays this way, too, and so if a guy is pretending to be a chick, that's gotta be weird. They don't get that most people are better able to separate themselves from that pixelated character than they are.

When I'm playing as Franklin, I don't pretend that I'm actually a black guy from the hood, and when I play as a female, I don't pretend that I'm a girl. They're characters in a story, no different from watching a movie. 98% of the action heroes of the last 70 years have been dudes, and I enjoy seeing a chick kick some ass for a change every now and then. To everyone who voted "yes" in this stupid thing, maybe you should stop judging complete strangers and get your own issues sorted out first...

Played pier survival with three east LA cholos. As I hid my female avatar behind the wall at the end one of them squatted next to me and said he could see my panties. I turned on mike and said " Do you see my penis?" I never heard so much laughter. He had his audio set to tv and everyone in his house heard and was busting up.

The only other time I turn on mike is when dumbsh*ts try to act cool by calling me bitch, slut, or whore. I ask them if they would say that to their grandmother. They usually shut up, and some even leave the game out of embarrassment and start threads like this one.

I kinda laugh every time my girls gets shot in the crotch or ass. It's that time of month again.

I think playing is a sign of confidence not weird. It's only weird for those that hope you really are a girl but find out you are not, and then are still attracted to you. HAHA!
