I have a male character that looks almost like me... I don't need to make another guy. I made a female character, just because every game I have has some "macho" dude as the main character. It gets old rather quickly.

Besides, the dudes selection of clothing is atrocious. I strictly wear a v-neck and retro running shorts, since everything else looks whack. Lmao, if they had better clothes, I wouldn't have made a female to begin with...

I shouldn't be surprised that so many people believe that playing as a chick is a signal of something in their personal lives. Too many peoples' personal lives consist of video games and little else. As most people are emotionally, socially, and psychology inept nowadays and believe their opinions and emotions are facts. I play as a chick because it's different. Society frowns upon anything other than the activities that brainless sheep consider normal, and exhaust all avenues to demean people who engage in anything "different."

Good way to state the issues. It makes me think, can I start a thread, "Guys who actually identify with their tough-ass avatars are scary weirdos" ?

So clearly I have some sexual issues because I main Lily on Tekken and I use a female character of GTAO and Saints Row 3 & 4. I prefer Tomb Raider to Uncharted too. Or...it could be because I like to look at women, be they real or not. OR it could just a matter of personal preference cuz...you know I bought my own game so I'll play it how I want to play it and if you don't like it then f*ck you cuz I was gonna Auto Shotgun rape your lame ass anyway, bitch.

 

Yeah maybe I am f*cked up in the head, but it's got nothing to do with the gender of the character I play as.

There's a difference between Roleplaying a female then just playing as one for the character model. This is regarding the original post. The majority of people in this thread don't know how to read.

Favorite comic book since 1976 Wonder Woman, every video game that gives me the option of a female avatar I take it. Married 20 years with three teenage children. Also I am a counselor for people with sexual issues. I find no problems with playing a female character. I suggest to someone who does to seek counsel on unresolved personal issues.

A guy playing as a female is all up to personal preference like I said before. Another reason is that a GTA game has never seen a female protagonist so it's worth a try. I find nothing wrong with having a female character.

I play a female character. I am not pretending to be myself. I don't pretend Lara Croft is me when I play tomb raider either. It is simply fun. Plus I rather not stare at the back of a dude the entire time I play. I have people ask me if I am gay sometimes......to me it is them who have issues like the O/P. Is it weird people use Sonja Blade or Chun li or??? I mean c'mon. I even played a sorc in Diablo 2....is that wierd too?

Tomb Raider is child's play. That's the only lame thing about it. I died only like once on normal.

 

The multiplayer was great too. A bit of an Uncharted multiplayer knockoff but since I don't own a PS3 I really enjoyed it. REALLY small community though. You'd play with the same people a couple of times a day. Creating rivalries without even having to add them to your friend's list!

She's not a big gamer. I found it same as every other game. I honestly didn't even know it was multiplayer...How does it work? Is everyone Lara? Sorry, I am a PC gamer. I bought the PS3 for her.
