Before I did the heist I maxed out in GruppeSechs. After the heist, GruppeSechs stock dropped, and Merryweather, surprise, went up 17%. WTF was that all about? I love that he's referred to as the Tinkle Man btw. When doing jobs other than Lester missions that I think would affect the stock market, I will have a backup save from before the mission now, just in case. Good advice LAW. It's unfortunate but the market is not dynamic whatsoever. It's scripted and revolves around Lester missions and a couple random events here and there such as Tinkle Man. Also ROCKSTAR has LIED to all of us. They say the LCN is for Story campaign and the BAWSAQ is player driven and affected by what happens in online play. But the first or second of the Lester missions has you buying stock on the BAWSAQ, which is directly affected after you do the assassination mission. I have a feeling that the LCN and BAWSAQ are all COMPLETELY different from console to console, and that neither of them are a community thing whatsoever, and that no massive player collusion can affect them, contrary to what we've been told and our knowledge of how the actual stock market works. It would be nice if the BAWSAW truly was affected by what happens in the GTAV online world. Insider trading would be rampant and everyone could get rich. But also all the major stocks would have five to six figure prices PER SHARE by now. And we know that that would piss off anyone who was on vacation during the release of the game, and started playing it two weeks after release only to find they were left in the dust and had no chance at becoming an online baller.
