Anyone else agree people should get bad rep in races?

It seems whenever someone loses 1st place they always seem to feel the need to drive the wrong way to mess up the other racers.

What I think should happen: If somebody decides to drive the wrong way they have 5 seconds to either respawn to the last checkpoint they passed or get kick from the race & get a bad rep for being a bad racer.

Never once encountered this myself, Doing that is kind of stupid anyways, if i don't get the first place i still try to get the best spot i can achieve since i will get more RP+Money.

Well i bet you meet douchebags like this once a full moon. (I for once havent met one) The suggestion is not bad though, i would not mind having it implented.

I've seen guys going backwords on the track when they've missed a checkpoint - beter to just hold Y and respawn.

I had some asshole try to cut across and knock me out of first place once so his friend behind me could win. Unfortunately for those retards I could hear them on the mic discussing it, so I spun out the cheater when he came at me and he crashed into his friend, lol.

I've only seen 1 guy going in the opposite direction on the track so far. It happened every race in IV though.

I think people should get bad rep for complaining to the internet every time somebody doesn't play a video game the way they'd like 'em to.

I hate those people who drive the wrong way, really annoying. Encountered them several times, 1 out of 10 players seems to be a bad sport asshole. At least I agree that something should be done about this. I can handle people who back up after the race starts, but not people who drive the opposite way and crash into you with full speed.

not everyone, I won a fully clean motorcycles race with a full PuG lobby on double parking tonight - everyone finished within 2 seconds of each other - and there was no contact between anyone, it was fun.

To me it's just part of GTA. I actually look at it the same as the AI cars that pull out right in front of me at the worst possible time. The GTA game world isn't supposed to be full of law abiding citizens. It's full of criminals. Ya gotta expect a little rule breakage here and there. It's part of the fun. And no I don't drive backwards to wreck people but I've had it happen more than once in a race. No biggie.

Absolutely no fun when someone drives the opposite way to stop you, absolutely no fun imo. That's just really antisocial bad sport behavior, even in GTA.

And complaining about it is just all-around unproductive.

I'm experiencing this way less than in GTAIV. 99% of the time there was backward tards. In GTAV it happenned 1% of the time.

It's about betting messing someone up so the person you bet on will win

It happens in all racing games. Most modern racing games counter this by turning the car into a ghost after traveling backwards or staying stationary for too long. You still get the odd one that still get round this by waiting for the others to come round for another lap.

After playing racing games for so long there are two ways of getting round these idiots. If it's on a straight throw them a dummy one way and cut back the other way when they get close. If it's on a corner then take it as tight as possible because they are usually terrible at driving so don't know how to take corners properly. It doesn't work all the time but it can be effective.

Heh, I just griped about this in another thread. Has happened to me twice recently on Down the Drain. That's probably the easiest track to do this sh*t on.

That makes sense, could be.
