Well..from what I've seen there is a major amount of disruption being carried out online by children. One only has to view the thread titles here to come to that assumption.

Sure it's hard to "prove" someones age when you're outside the admin box.

But come on, A kids voice is a kids voice, unless GTA5O is filled to the rafters with squealing midgets.

Kids and their attitudes are making the game unfit to play.

Very untrue, in America its 17+ can buy, this is the age required to buy the game. Many "M" games from EA and other major companies say 13+ to play online so no, no one under 18 playing online and/or playing the game is breaking the "rules".

 

Also it's more to the parents decision also online is not rate by ESRB. They state that on the games case.

18+/17+ is a bit harsh. Maybe 12 and under shouldn't be playing. But it's completely up to the parents or whoever is the primary caregiver to assess their maturity level and whether it's suitable for GTA. By the rule that you stated, I wouldn't be able to play either since I'm only 16. But there comes a time where age becomes irrelevant according to maturity. And alot of kids mature faster than the rest.

Alright, so a kid under 18 is playing the game. How do you prove it? It's pretty much impossible to do.

 

I agree that people under 18 shouldn't be playing, but we really can't do anything about it. In the end, it's up to the parent to be responsible and, evidently, not every parent is.

Perhaps Biometric controllers would be nice. Linked to your gamertag. Therefore you grab any controller, it reads your fingerprint on the XBOX guide button, bam, console knows if you are too young for said game. Too young? It wont even read the disc, play something else. Older than 18? No problem.

I thought ratings were merely a guideline sort of thing. If a parent think it is all fine and dandy that their little delinquent is playing this game, then so be it.

I know it sucks, but nothing Rockstar or anyone else can do about it.
