Given that Rockstar is punishing the "cheaters" , can we expect their credibility to be as solid and efficient when it comes to minors playing online?

I mean...to me that's the biggest cheat of all. Your breaking the rules before the product is out of the wrapper.

It says it right on the box. (at least in this country) 18 years and up.

Fact.

 

-If Rockstar can dig around Player IDs, with the help of Microsoft, then I really don't see why this cannot be achieved.

 

It's Rockstars duty to uphold the rules.

Do you actually know the rules? There is NO rules against children playing online. The esrb does not rate online play. Yes, it is against the rules for children to buy the game, but there is NO rules against kids playing the game online. Blame the parents for buying them the game. There is nothing either rockstar or microsoft can do about it being that no rules are being broken when it comes to kids playing online.

I upset my mates 10 year old son because he asked me if this game was suitable for him. All his mates play it so I invited him and his wife around to see the game in action.

My mates wife's chin nearly hit the floor at what was going on.

They said they won't get it for him and told the parents of his mates who also banned them from playing. So it's back to Minecraft for them :-)

Nothing wrong with Minecraft. It's good clean and wholesome :p

Some people need to realize that kids are not always the problem. I have seen some kids act way more mature then adults. I have seen adults act way more childish then children themselves. Don't put all the blame on people under 18. Putting a blanket ban on them is just wrong imo.

it's not against any rules for a minor to buy this game.

It's against most stores' policies to sell M rated games to minors.

Well I'm in the US and we have no such law, but in that case they should ban any UK players under 18 as they are breaking the law.

Show me the law that tells me that someone under 18 can't legally PLAY the game. The can't legally BUY the game, but they can LEGALLY play the game.

again, this kids I've come across on the game have been Brit kids who haven't reached maturity enough to have their Adams apple develop, its against the law in the UK for someone(anyone) to supply an age rated game to anyone not of age

The "UK" needs U.S. support in order to thrive. Adversely, we would do fine without the "UK", which is really just Britain anyways. You should give Ireland back to it's people. There's no need to buff yourself up calling it the "United Kingdom". Your country is clearly trying to compensate for something.
