OFFICIAL: Job Vote Screen Changes!

This is an official Rockstar announcement concerning a change to the next job vote screen. Due to high demand from the community, we are adding jobs from contacts to the voting screen. This change will be coming soon, but there is not an exact ETA at this time.

Essentially, this means that jobs from Gerald, Simeon, etc will all be available on the voting screen along with races, parachute jumps, and other missions. This feature is being added directly based on feedback from you, our community, so please keep posting your ideas and thoughts on the game. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below.

What I don't get is why we have to wait for everyone to vote before the job starts. i.e. if the majority of people have voted for a race, so that any further votes can not alter the outcome, why doesn't that race just load up and start? Why are we waiting 40 seconds for the last guy to vote?

Yeah, it should launch as soon as the majority of the votes have been set

 

Let's say you are 8 voters, if one pick has 5 votes, it should launch

 

No need to wait for the rest of the 3

Because if 7 people vote for the next job and one guy votes for free mode he goes back to free mode and the rest continue on. If he doesn't vote, he goes with the 7 people onto the next job.

I hated the lack of it; but then again, I'm one of the people who believed that 500 "missions" meant "jobs" - since I've yet to hear anyone ever call races/deathmatches "missions."

I don't like it. First, it doesn't make sense if there's only the choice of a 1-2 player mission.

 

Second, there's a whole lot of chumps that I'd race against or DM against, but not do a mission with.

All those options will still be there. They're just adding in missions.

 

Many people like this because most people just have to go back to free mode, call a contact and get another mission. A lot of loading screens.

I agree that if there is a majority vote, then the countown should go down to 5 seconds. The 5 seconds is just in case anyone wants to change their vote. It's really annoying waiting for like 40 seconds when there is one person who hasn't voted.
