What does a "C" by a player's icon in-game mean?

I see "C"s now in the corner of certain players' icons when viewing the playerlist, what is that?

It means they are in the same Crew as you. If You also see an F, meaning they are on your Friends list on the social club.

Well, my bad. I assumed it was this because everyone I have seen with a C is someone I know from one of the crews I am in. Same with the F as being friends with them on the social club.

This question has been answered about 38 times in this forum. The small C and F show you the players chat settings. The C means they are on Crew chat only. The F means they are friends chat only.

The C for chat makes a lot more sense then crew because, well i will see alot of people with the C and they are not in any crews. I always wondered how to determine what people were using mics and not.
