Weird as hell that Jimmy should be looking at Niko`s profile though, right? Especially when he`s supposed to be looking for a job. Franklin's cousin mentions Romans cabs saying they're the worst in Liberty City I always thought Packie leaving at the end of Ballad of Gay Tony was an indicator that Kate was the one who died and that was the canon ending, so maybe Roman is alive. I'll believe that too I think, it's better than the depressing other ending. Just keep them out of V and everything will be fine. Apart from Luis. I'd be happy to kill him. My theory is that canon death is as good as a certain death which means that that character will never appear in a game that`s based in the future. Packie mentioned how he could never leave because someone needs to take care of Ma. If Kate is dead than he would have to stay in Liberty City to look after her. There's no point in saying: "Well it's possible she died sometime after IV." We don't know that though, you can't go using your assumptions as evidence. However, Gerry could've escaped prison after the events of TLaD. With Gerry taking care of his mother, Patrick wouldn't need to do so. That is, assuming their mother would still be alive after all those tragedies, of course. -EDIT- Just realised I answered to a 2 years old post, sh*t, considering the thread had few pages and was at the top of the first page, I thought it was new. It could be Kate's death, maybe his mum/mom/mother died. Maybe he thought San Fierro and Las venturas were connected to the island, but was disappointed to find out they weren't. Again, you're using "What If's" as evidence. And based on the chronological order of GTA IV/TLAD/TBoGT's missions - it should have been mentioned at some point later in IV's story by Packie or someone that Gerry was out of prison, since "Get Lost" takes place well before the end of GTA IV and TBoGT's events. I'm not sure what you're talking about. All the things I have mentioned are brought up in game, like Packie mentioning that he can't leave LC if Kate is dead, because he has to take care of Ma. Suggesting that Packie's mother may have died between the events of IV and V is an assumption, and never hinted towards at all in either games. He seemed a lot more depressed by Romans death than Kate's. More angry too. Hanging around with Dwayne wouldn't have helped. Then again maybe he became a vigilante, a bit like the Punisher. So angry at Romans death he now brutally kills any criminal. Murderers to pickpockets. He may turn up in V, we find out he's been on valum since Romans death, now he's very chilled, smiles more. It could be that when 2 or 3 endings happen, the world splits into separate realities. GTA is secretly a sci-fi game. Seems like something them sick twisted bastards at rockstar would do. Infact, since you are going like this, we can't say that Lester was truly talking about Niko when he said "an Eastern European pulling moves in Liberty City", as this could've been anyone, even in IV's storyline. I'm not saying he left LC because Kate was around. I'm saying he could not have left LC if Kate wasn't around - that is straight from the game. It's easier to go off of something that is actually from the game, than "What Ifs." At some point, Packie himself, says he cannot leave LC because there is no one else to care for Ma. I don't know how many ways I can rephrase this. It's in the game. It is actual dialogue. Packie says he has to stay around to care for Ma. He can't leave LC. What does he do at the end of TBoGT? He leaves LC. Using evidence only from the game, not speculation, that means Kate is alive to care for Ma. Meaning Packie can leave. Also the main discussion has already been discussed as the topic on wether Niko is dead or not is not something big. So I thinkt this could stay but people shouldn't bump it all the time. Packie said that he might be dead, but Packie's been away from Liberty City for years and Lester said he went quiet, not dead, both aren't reliable proves. So i'm pretty sure Niko is alive.
