Frank Brown
Personally, I really liked What do you guys think is the greatest speech you've ever heard?
RoadRunner71
It's sad that still, more than 70 years later, the same speech fit with the present situation. Frank Brown
Finn 7 five 11
It's sad that still, more than 70 years later, the same speech fit with the present situation. I wouldn't call it sad really, it's just human nature, it will always happen, greed and hate aren't always a bad thing either, I believe we'd be far less technologically advanced if there wasn't greedy people looking to make more and more money, or trying to beat someone else or whatever. Anyway, here is my favourite, this is the short version, I think it's great because it's just simple and true. Full version. GTA_stu
Not saying this is the greatest, but I feel it deserves to be in here cos it's a kick ass speech: "I'm an oil man" speech from There Will Be Blood is a good one as well: Frank Brown
018361
I have to agree with the great dictator speech. It's words meanings have only gotten stronger as time goes by. I was surprised that not only his speech but, also Charlie Chaplin's films are masterpieces that hold true to this very day. I have yet to see any film that is a finer artwork than his. They are simply magnificent and brilliant. Frank Brown

Oddsock
Agreeing with pretty much all those posted, I have my own to offer, and that is JFK's 1961 Inaugural Address. It gives me goosebumps every time. Edited October 18, 2013 by OdDsOcK Frank Brown

TheGodDamnMaster
Yeah, the Great Dictator one is one of my favorites, as was MLK's speech. My favorite is probably a more recent one by Benjamin Carson. He's a famous neurosurgeon out of Baltimore. He tells it like it is, even with the president sitting right next to him. 860
Nice guy? I don't give a sh*t. Good father? f*ck you go play with your kids. You wanna work here? Close. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kZg_ALxEz0 You are only as valuable to society as the best thing you can offer. Being nice is a base value. Nothing. "Saying that you're a nice guy is like a restaurant whose only selling point is that the food doesn't make you sick. You're like a new movie whose title is This Movie Is in English, and its tagline is The actors are clearly visible. ExtremoMania
Technically not a speech, but one of the most inspiring lines ever in a movie. And one of our fellow members has one of this quote. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_saUN4j7Gw "I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time... to die..."
