Is GTA:O fun?

I can't find the fun in it at all.. correct me if I am wrong but it isn't possible to have free-roam with all guns and vehicles around the map anymore like in GTA4? I have to spend hours and hours just to 'earn' these things only to lose them so easily? I thought GTA has always been about fun and not simply levelling up to use the best stuff and actually enjoy the game.. please enlighten me!

What do you mean by "only to lose them so easily", you can just go into ammunation and re-buy the ammo once you ranked up.

RetardOfTheYear

Had more fun in GTA IV online so far, not being able to join almost full games of your choice (that you can see and search for in IV, and not there) and being just hostage of what luck might bring to you when you decide to host a game of your choice is very boring and unacceptable. That plus the console crowd that is just a pile of trash for the most part, sorry to be bluntly honest, and you have a very disapointing online experience.

By spending cash which you have to spend ages doing the sh*t jobs to get. I thought I just did all this progression business in the single player, now I gotta do it again online?

I am a massive massive GTA fan since GTA III, and not for multiplayer. They had the best game in the world and all they had to do was let everyone play in the single player map together so to speak with everything unlocked like in GTA4 and let everyone create their own fun but they've tried to create a weird new game which is totally crap and geared toward the player who has hours every day to kill just so maybe in the future he can afford the best cars and equipment.

GTA:O is completely the opposite of user friendly and it feels like it's been built by people who do not play games, which is very sad and a first for GTA in my view. Big idea tech heads who never played a game in their life

Yes I am mad bro they could have used the online system from GTA 4 with some tweaks and it would have been absolutely perfect.. took a big gamble and it flopped IMO trying to make GTA something it isn't and never has been.

Simply put I think GTA-O is brilliant. I'm glad you cant run around the world picking up random weapons and shooting the f*ck outta people for the hell of it. If that's your kind of fun then I'm glad you don't find GTA-O fun at all. Close the door on your way out please!

That's actually happening more on GTA:O than it did on GTA 4 where the weapons were much easier to get! Because it was fair.. now the sad prick who spends 10 hours a day on the game has all the advantages and ruins the game for others.

On GTA4 you could just load up free roam, have a bunch of people in the map, actually have it so that players cannot kill each other, all the vehicles and weapons anyone wants and the players can create their own fun.. it's GTA ffs it is the most fun sandbox game there is.. do not try and put the fun into mission size bundles.. the fun is exploring and interacting with the environment with others NOT trying to level up all the time to unlock crap.. that's a gimmick that games that are not fun use.. I am hugely disappointed, luckily GTA5 is awesome by itself but GTAO could have been so so much better and left it in the shadows.
