Besides, The Last of Us is a very deserving game to win GOTY. The Last of Us has a better story than GTA V. That doesn't make it the better game. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is one of the best stories you'll ever play in a video game and probably the best story in Star Wars history imo. Metal Gear Solid 1 and Xenogears are also one of the best stories you'll ever experience. Y'know what they have in common? They all got beat by Zelda for GOTY. Wind Waker for KOTOR and Zelda OoT for MGS and Xenogears. I'm sure a bunch of people would agree that the story in those Zelda games do not beat the narrative and epic story telling of those great classics, but I agree Zelda OoT is one of the greatest games of all time.
