How good of a shooter gta COULD be

Imagine if they sat down and designed like 10 decent maps, added a few more guns, and had like an old call of duty style killstreak system (uav, airstrike, helicopter), and added capture the flag and domination.

 

Right now the deathmatch in the game is pretty boring i was actually anticipating it being pretty competitive lol

 

Just throwing out some ideas, any input?

Yea i don't have a problem with it in free roam but in a competitive mode it makes zero sense.

 

That's like having an option during a race where the game turns the car for you and all you have to do is accelerate lol

There should be objective based team death match games. Like demolition in socom or something

Well at less than 30fps free aim competitive is terrible lets be honest.. can hardly have fast paced action because your controller wont respond quick enough.

Like the man said..GTA isn't meant to be a shooter..

I've found deathmatch/td pretty poor, IV was far better...the whole map to use, cars etc..coloured blips..

 

V is just frantic run and gun.

 

For that matter GTA isn't meant to be a racer either.

It trys...but if I want an online racer I'll play grid series.

 

Oh aye yeah...as above..30fps...(if it is really that)..is no good for either racers or shooters

 

The only thing keeping me playing online is freemode...

 

And the menace that is the 2k med bills..take those away and its doomed

That's why most of what you do Involves shooting and there are deathmatches...

 

No one wants this to be COD. Why the F do people keep using that tired excuse? It makes no damn sense. Just because this isn't one of those run of the mill shooters, doesn't mean we can't enjoy the shooter aspect of the game.

I never said i wanted cod i said i want this gta's deathmatches to maybe be a little competitive and not two guys hiding getting all the kills while everyone else runs around getting killed while they show up on radar.

 

My bad for having a few ideas i guess. But if everyone's fine with a garbage barebones shooter that could easily be pretty fun than that's cool.
