People that complain and whine are trolls or brats. The total I have lost in free roam is 2-4k. I don't try to kill other players, if I want to, I join DM ( I know wild concept ).

 

Also, I played three random races last night, took me around 30 minutes. Got first in one. By end of three races I made more then $20k and ranked up ( I was low level 21 and ranked to 22 when done ).

 

Then people complain about having to grind.. How's it any different from any other game.. CoD is the same exact rehashed BS year after year. Although missions may be similar in gta, there is far more variety then any other mp game to date.

No. Killing is the most basic element of this game. Freeroam is not and never was intended to be safe, that is why safe area exist, like your apartment and garage. They also included the option for private servers. And medical bills are only 2k if you have at least 100k, since it costs you 5% of your cash. Pretty sure you can afford it.

 

You might ask "But they pay for destroying my vehicle! Why not for killing me?" (Even though most of the time it doesn't make them pay anything, for some reason).

 

Uh, because 95% of the time, your vehicle isn't anywhere near you when it gets destroyed. Not to mention, it spawns at the impound lot and insurance parking lot for all the world to destroy. And it spawns near you all the time, whether you want it to or not. It's literally impossible for you to prevent people from destroying your personal vehicle.

 

As opposed to being killed, which is easy to prevent. Stay away from other people, or be more careful when you're near them. You can always kill them first, or turn on passive mode, which makes not being killed quite a lot easier.

 

If you want someone to lose the money for killing you, then you need to make them lose it by killing them. This is the reason that random killings often escalate into revenge slaughter and large-scale destruction.

 

If you don't want to lose the money for the hospital bill, then don't die. There is a radar which will show you if anyone is coming anywhere near you. Make use of it (or only play with crew and friends, I guess).

 

Either way, you make money a lot faster than you lose it, since deaths outside of freeroam don't cost you anything. It's not an issue.

There's a quick option to change free roam lobbies, if you getting killed a lot then I doubt you are playing with friends so switching lobbies shouldn't be an issue

No no no no no, no one should pay medical bills in my opinion. If you as a killer have to pay your victims medical bills then it's like the same before and still no REAL fun to mess around in free roam unless you glitched yourself a lot of money. In my opinion the damn medical bills should disappear completly.

1) You can afford it.

 

2) You are well-equipped enough that you should be able to prevent someone from killing you most of the time.

And when I say "up against", I mean that someone was using a tank to try to kill people on the server. It's not much of a challenge to get away from them. You can even outrun them. Literally any other vehicle is easier to kill people with, the tank is the worst thing there is for trying to hunt players down.

 

It's so incredibly easy to avoid a tank that I find it hard to believe anyone could die 25 times to it, unless you went AFK for an hour in a flat open field.

Although I disagree with OP, I do feel that passive mode should completly protect you from other players. Second, to those who say "join new lobby" unless you join a full lobby, there is nothing preventing said troll from following you. Third, unless you are fine with being completly isolated or have a lot of friends playing the game, invite only isnt exactly the answer either.

5%. Not 50%. It's only 2k when you have at least 100k, which no longer qualifies you as poor.

Shouldn't need a car, just run around the nearest corner and you're home free. More often than not, it's going to spawn you somewhere that he doesn't have line of sight anyways, so the only time this should even be remotely possible is if it's a large, flat, open field. In which case, yeah, change sessions.

 

Second, to those who say "join new lobby" unless you join a full lobby, there is nothing preventing said troll from following you.

Which is something that basically never happens, unless you really pissed them off, maybe. In which case you can just switch again, or make an invite-only server, or start a job and they can sit there on spectate mode if that's really how they want to spend their time.

 

An even easier method would be to just set yourself to "Appear Offline", in which case they have no way of following you anywhere. Five minutes later they'll have forgotten you exist (and even if they don't, the "recent players" list is relatively short so your name won't be on theirs for very long).

No. It's only 2k when you have 100k+ already. It isn't a flat rate, it's a low percentage. It's supposed to max out at 5k, in case you haven't played single-player. They lowered to 2k for exactly this reason. If you have over $100000 and you're bitching about losing 2k for dying in free roam, then you'd have bitched about the 5k and you'd just as happily bitch about $500 too. When you have over 100k, that amount of money is completely meaningless.

 

Hell, you can sell vehicles off the street for over 9k, every 48 minutes. Are you really dying more than 5 times every 48 minutes in free roam? If so, you're doing something seriously and horribly wrong.

Some of these people who hate being harrassed totally forget about Lesters "off the radar" option, if you want to get away just use that and you have a full minute to get as far away as you can, by the time you've reappeared you'll be so far away they'll have already started trolling someone else.
