Ibrahimhassounah
So I'm Ibrahim Hassounah , a 14 years old programer that is still learning , I'm creating a game development studio called "Behind Line Games" , my propose is to give developers a chance to help me develop my project and be in my team . Let's begin with these things first : * We are young developers who live in Saudi Arabia and we are trying our best to bring the experience to the whole world , the Arab world have a lot of amazing game developers like Abdallah Konash and all the other great developers . * Is this logo considered good for our team ? * Is it ok if you stay silent for months and years about our projects . * If you want to join , tell us your talent and what do you want to do to help us . * I accept any ideas to be made but we'll have to investigate in it , you'll have to have some imagination when your giving us some ideas . * My team is focused on delivering full entertaining products that will give consumers the real gameplay enjoyment . * My team is now built from 3 people : - Ibrahim Hassounah - Yousif Al-Rabea'a - Yazeed Al-Reweshid * We don't care what your age is , what we really care about how much do you love gaming and how will you innovate in your games . * You could be in the team without even having knowledge about game development but yet you'll need to get some practice after you join just like me , we are learning . * You shouldn't be caring that much about money but instead care about the product your delivering , money comes after the hard work you did . * We are now creating one project but later on , we'll be having many other projects on our hand so are you ready ? * Have fun creating the game with your own passion , we aren't gonna force anything on you , it's that way we should treat people . * You shouldn't be fast when creating the game , be slow and try to make the game detailed from every aspect . * It's your game your creating so it's you who's getting the reputation . * Everyone who worked on the game will be considered as from the cast for the game , we appreciate everyones work on the game . Thanks for reading this , if you want to join inform us about these things : = What's your name ? = How old are you ? = Where do you live ? = Do you know something about game development? if not , are you ready to learn ? = Tell us about you . = Are you patient about projects ? = What do you want to be in our game development studio ? = Do you have ideas to make a game better ? = Anything you want to inform us about ? if so tell us . Tchuck
Ok, let's see: my propose is to give developers a chance to help me develop my project and be in my team. What skills do you bring to the table? Why should they care about developing your project, and not something of their own? What does your team do? What are the benefits of joining your team? What can your team do for the other developers? I accept any ideas to be made but we'll have to investigate in it , you'll have to have some imagination when your giving us some ideas . How are you guys going to deal with that? Will it be traditionally horrible design by committee? Will someone be named the project leader and everyone will have to abide by his/her decisions? Are you expecting people to just come and give you ideas and that's it? My team is focused on delivering full entertaining products that will give consumers the real gameplay enjoyment . As opposed to fake gameplay enjoyment? My team is now built from 3 people : What are their roles? What do they do? What are their skills and qualifications? You could be in the team without even having knowledge about game development but yet you'll need to get some practice after you join just like me , we are learning . You should at least have some form of filter, to make sure you're getting people who are serious about making games, instead of any average Joe who will give up in a week. Game dev is hard. You shouldn't be fast when creating the game , be slow and try to make the game detailed from every aspect . I completely, utterly, 100% disagree with this, specially around the starting stage when you don't quite know where you are going. It is better to get a basic idea of where you want to go, and start making it fast, prototyping and testing so you can iterate faster and polish it and improve it. If you set out from the start to make something detailed, using a design document or not, you're bound to spend way too much unneeded time on non essential tasks. That logo doesn't look particularly appealing. Now, I'm not going to discourage you. I think you should be making games. Find a role you like, and start making stuff. At your age, with your lack of experience, it's unlikely you'll be able to come up with something amazing and deep to the level of a triple A game. Not saying you can't do it, just saying it's going to be very, very, very hard. Focus on making short games, playing with gameplay possibilities, exploring the genres, short stuff. Use ready made tools, like Unity3D, GameMaker, RPGMaker. Prototype a lot, I mean A LOT, and once you and your friends find something that has been proven to be good (people love playing it, for instance), then really make something out of it. But for your team, for the time being, just prototype a lot, bounce ideas off each other, and make them. If you want to be a designer but don't have programming skills, then just make board games. They are the easiest tool to use to iterate on a design. As for me, I'm a game developer, currently working at EA. If you need some advice or someone to bounce your ideas off of, feel free to send me a message.

I respect your help , we are trying to make everything possible yet we are limited , I'm trying to let amount of developers join us , I actually use Unity3D for now but for the project were doing were gonna use Unreal Engine , my programing skills are yet to be improved but I know the basics for now , I use this amazing Youtuber to help me with my programing skills (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV0Jhu5jv9OsV19TmqHEt_g) , Also my team is made of a model designer (Yousif Al-Rabea'a) and another programer (Yazeed Al-Reweshid)
Finn 7 five 11
You may be a dumbass, but i'm glad you're actually contributing something to society - or perhaps attempting to - but don't give in to the neigh-sayers like me, and keep at it, and eventually you'll get somewhere. Good luck with your developing. Edited October 18, 2013 by finn4life
