How does adding new cars to a garage with 9 cars work?

This has been really bugging me, I currently have 5 out of 10 cars stored at my apartment, lets just say I moved the 3rd car from the back, destroyed it and put in another car without claiming on my insurance. Would this new car fill the empty space where the 3rd car from the back was or would it fill the 6th place in my garage?

 

Any help on this issue would be appreciated, its frying my brain!

It will still hold a place in your garage, even if you don't claim it through Mors Mutual. If its too expensive to sell, take it out, get a wanted level, let the cops kill you, then let them destroy it in the impound. You could risk filling up the whole garage and when it prompts you to replace the vehicle you don't want with an 11th one, but I wouldn't do that.

You are basically asking for trouble. There are major problems with the garage. Why does it matter what position the car comes back into the garage as long as it comes back?

If your garage is full with lets say 10 cars and you want to add a new car it will ask you witch one to remove.

However i rather buy a new garage instead

Except I'm pretty sure you can only own one at a time.

you can not own a garage an a apartment for starters. To some people car placement matters, my OCD runs crazy with placement in my garage. What i did is i filled my garage with cars that are able to be sold to LSC. When i decided what car i wanted i would just sell that place/car to lsc. I have lost a few cars trying to get my garage situated correctly so good luck!
