Why so frowned upon to destroy personal vehicles?

In addition to blowing up personal vehicles, killing anybody who is in passive mode (or killing others while in passive mode - by doing it from a vehicle) should be an offense. Except the second should be FAR worse.

 

Some dick was doing that to me. I was trying to get eh bike for simeon, and he was in his car ramming me over and killing me, whilst my bullets aimlessly went into him and did nothing!! They should make it that if you kill anyone in passive, it puts you out of passive!!

If you want to play by spamming explosives everywhere then go ahead. There's nothing stopping you. You'll just be placed into free roam sessions with other people that also think that is fun.

Most of us find gun battles much more fun and don't get our kicks by destroying someone's car after they just spend 50K modifying it.

I'll have to agree with the sticky bomb haters. The sticky bomb was vastly noobified this time round. In IV there was no aiming it and you had a very limited throw distance so you had to actually get up along the right side of their vehicle, pretty much your front wheel aligned with their rear wheel. And on the flip side, if you were trying to get someone chasing you, you had to keep them on your left. This gave smart drivers strategies to utilize to avoid it. GTA V's stickies on other hand, you can aim them and throw them really f n far. So far even, that a guy can be a few car lengths ahead of you and you can throw the sticky in front of him and get him as he drives over it. Stickies were noobified.

Stop assuming everyone is a noob compared to you. If you get stuck by a sticky bomb, there's two reasons. 1. Your either dumb enough to sit still and let them get you. 2. You crash in a car chase and they catch up to you, meaning you can't drive.

 

They are relatively expensive to buy a lot for the new players saving up for something else so no, there wouldn't be widespread destruction like you think.

 

Guess what, if you don't like it as well, you can go play solo mode or solo session. Don't ruin the sandbox world because you don't notice someone coming at you or beats you.

Because GTA V is a childcare center. You're not allowed to steal other kids toys, nor are you allowed to destroy them. Destroy one & you'll be sent to the time-out corner.

Boo-hoo. You have to recover your vehicle from Mors Insurance... the person who blew up your vehicle is also forced to chip in towards the recovery of the vehicle...

 

But what role do people play, financially speaking, in your medical insurance/bills? Zilch, notta, none. I can count on two hands the amount of times I've had a vehicle blown up by other people. I can't count the amount of times I've been killed by being shot, run over, in passive mode, etc.

 

I've probably dished out more green towards hospital bills than I have towards car replacement... the bad sport system is broken and should be completely removed, in my opinion.

In IV there was no aiming it and you had a very limited throw distance so you had to actually get up along the right side of their vehicle, pretty much your front wheel aligned with their rear wheel. And on the flip side, if you were trying to get someone chasing you, you had to keep them on your left. This gave smart drivers strategies to utilize to avoid it. GTA V's stickies on other hand, you can aim them and throw them really f n far. So far even, that a guy can be a few car lengths ahead of you and you can throw the sticky in front of him and get him as he drives over it. Stickies were noobified.

Sticky bombs cost around $600 each, insurance recovery for most vehicles is less that that. That's assuming you get the job done on 1st attempt. I don't think people will be spamming them half as much as some people are suggesting.

To the guy that claimed he couldn't shoot someone in passive mode who was ramming him with a car, I call bullsh*t on, since passive mode ONLY works when on foot, and ONLY protects you from bullets. Passive mode does not stop the following; a car running over you, exploding vehicles near you, exploding gas tanks near you, fire, and any other environmental hazard you can think off, and once in a vehicle of any kind it is disabled. Please go make up stories somewhere else. It sounds to me like you where MISSING him.

As for badsport, this rule has not affected me ONCE. Course I also have only had to replace my vehicle three times, once due to it being spawned in deep water for a mission, and twice because I drove into too deep of water. Then again I tend to spend a large ammount of time in closed servers with friends, so I can avoid most of the d-bags that seem to think PvP somehow means Trolling Time to the Extreme....

People blow up my car I blow up theirs it shouldn't be punishable to take revenge on their car when they've blown up yours and since I do it this way I'm now a bad sport for two days which sucks but not much you can do about it.

So, unless my car gets AI and drives itself I doubt being faster matter.

When someone drives their car into mine and it blows everything up and I get put into a bad sport lobby because somehow for whatever reason the game said that was my fault. Making it to where I can't play with my friends for 2 days! Just doesn't seem like a system that's working that well to me.

 

I mean seriously if you're in an open world of GTA you should be afraid at all times. If you don't want your car blown up go play in your own lobby or with your friends in an invite only lobby.

Bad Sport is terrible. It limits your options when dealing with bounties, self defense, so many times when someone is safe from me in a car because I don't want to cross that invisible line into bad sport servers.

 

 

No, it limits your only option which is "STICKY BOMBS". Im pretty sure real players have many options that doesn't involve ROTFL sticky bomb spams all day long.

 

I'm sensing you've been blown up quite a few times.

 

Get a faster car.

 

 

 

I've had my car blown up 4 times.. And everytime I was not in it. But I've seen worse.

 

So, unless my car gets AI and drives itself I doubt being faster matter.

 

Bottom line. The BAD SPORT SYSTEM works. Since the people who actually do come after me use guns instead of noob explosives. Basically it prevents noobs from being noobs. It works great.

 

It works to an extent.

 

When someone drives their car into mine and it blows everything up and I get put into a bad sport lobby because somehow for whatever reason the game said that was my fault. Making it to where I can't play with my friends for 2 days! Just doesn't seem like a system that's working that well to me.

 

I mean seriously if you're in an open world of GTA you should be afraid at all times. If you don't want your car blown up go play in your own lobby or with your friends in an invite only lobby.

 

 

Its not that bad tho. It takes a constant effort to get BAD SPORT. It doesn't just happen by mistake.

 

 

I just played "A titan of a job" Job with some randoms.

 

The moment I jacked the plane a few of them started shooting the plane over and over till it blew up. Of course that ended with a Mission Fail. Then they restarted... That's when I ran over to their cars and blew them all up with a sticky bomb. Five cars got me a Bad Sport warning but not the Dunce cap...lol

 

So, like I said. It does take a huge effort.

I blew up people's cars due to self defense and me just some how blowing their car up..

 

I think there should be no punishment as in "bad sport" but they should make the offender (person who blew up the car) to pay the insurance fee automatically, if they have no cash then make them go into the negatives since they had to pay the insurance fee..

also they should remove sticky bombs from multiplayer completely imo.. just easy to camp someone and kill them..

Sticky Bombs are GTA Noob tube...they are far the easiest thing to get kills with, you should get punished for using it contently....heck I probably blow up a car once a day if I they decide to chase and kill me for no reason.

 

I dont see it changing any time soon either and that is a good thing because then sticky bombing would be the norm, and I don't want that because then I would be using it too because why not....

 

OR if you want to get rid of bad sport car bombing they should disable the use of using sticky bombs inside a car and only allow grenades, making it so you have to be on foot to throw a nade.
