OCT 16: ONLINE PROGRESS DID NOT SAVE

has anyone else experienced while playing online yesterday??

 

my last session of online play did not save my progress??

 

yesterday evening Oct 16th, 2013, I played online from about 8:30pm to 12:30am.

 

I completed alot of good jobs, earned probably $100,000 in this session and increased two ranks to 33.

 

I did not experience any problems during the session.

 

I exited online properly via pause menu, and as always, it said progress will automaticaly save.

 

as always I go to socialclub to review my stats, However, I noticed it did not update to what I had when I exited the game, it was showing the stats from the day before..? usually it updates right away. so I thought maybe it was just a delay.

 

then this morning, socialclub stats still did not update, so I decided to go online to check, to see if indeed it saved.

 

and to my surprise, it did not save anything..! as if my entire last session did not happen..?

 

this extremly annoying.. I thought all that shiit was fixed. fine my character didnt delete or anything.. but my entire progress of about 4hrs is just gone..!!

had the same thing happen to me last week, said it was unable to save progress. However once I returned to on line MP after quitting to SP it then provided another update that is saved successfully.

but when I exited onine last night, as usual it said progress will be saved automatically.

I appeared back in SP, turned the game off and that was it.

and in the end.. that whole session is gone..??

I played last night about the same timeframe you did, just checked SC and all my progress was updated. Sorry to hear about yours not updating, that sucks!

yeah,still issues unfortunately. I usually just take a picture, this forces a save to the cloud. Not sure if this would update all data to cloud but this at least indicates if the servers are up and progress kept..

FUUCK that sucks..! its so shiit how things are so random.. some players experience things on others dont.. i dont see why it didnt save..

 

fine its not the end of the world.. but I take my gaming serious.. I put in 4hrs.. and yes having alot of fun during that time, but its just a big waste that it didnt save.

 

and it just happened to be a very good session, completed 10waves in survival, killed a 9k bounty, finisted first in many races, completed base invaders, completed Dry Dock which is a rank 45 Martin mission, that I got invited into, thats 20k right there etc.. etc..

 

an now all that good progress is gone..!

Yes, that does suck...I am on Xbox, don't know if that matters or not.

My SC shows my avatar with helmet on, which is weird, since that is from the day before yesterday, as yesterday I haven`t spent one second with a helmet, but everything else is there.

I have noticed the your character picture can take a day or so to update if you change clothing etc.. even though stats are up to date etc..

 

well thats it.. just have to accept my progress from yesterday is a write off..

 

I went back in solo mode.. just did a couple of things... and then exited.. and it saved..

 

now that this save worked properly, I guess can kiss goodbye to any hope of recovering my previous progress..if at all it was a possibility.. I highly doubt..

I haven't had any issues since quitting out of online mode and heading back to story mode before shutting down the console.

Happened to me a couple times so far. I'm not sure what the solution is but now when I want to sign out I go to my online apartment and either shower or get changed to make sure I see the yellow saving wheel do its job. Then log out by leaving online back to SP, then quitting the game.

 

As I said though, I'm not sure that will solve it, every night it's a 50/50 chance of seeing if my progress was saved or not.
