Players who glitched, cheated or boosted their way into millions basically screwed themselves over in long term purpose for playing.

 

They got everything in days.. And will be bored in days.. And then leave the game. Which is basically a win for all legit players who actually enjoy playing the game.

yeah why not? The first 28 levels were fun, and i would do it again. I plan on playing this game a long time, so f*ck it, go ahead reset. Maybe it will be a turn off to some of the aholes online, and they go away.

sure, but i'm afraid it won't do much good. if they can't glitch, they'll hack or find new things to abuse.

 

i don't really care about people glitching to be honest. taking on waves of lvl 5 players opening fire for no reason annoys me infinitly more than a guy cruising around in his adder

I didn't glitch (lose character or get server problems, luckily) but players have raced far ahead of me but I wouldn't be fussed if there was a server reset.

 

It's not like I'd have to do everything again. Online is pretty much repeating actions anyway!

 

I'd be happy with a server reset if they updated the core mechanics. I'm hopeful GTA: Online Next Gen will be much better, if it happens.

Full reset? Never because the f*ckheads will always find a way to obtain unlimited cash again. They have put less work into their account than me into mine, so why should I suffer a reset?

 

What we really need are constant, permanent bans for cheaters and glitch kids and an entire team to hunt them.

while i'll admit i sold double cars a few times at LSC and sold a friend's $100k car that got duped in a mission a couple times, i have only sold ~ $1.5M worth of stuff at LSC over 120 hrs of game time. plenty of time to have legitimately sold cars there (i still ballers quite often) i'd say maybe $400k of my $1.5M+ was from glitches if that. and i only did that to get lost progress back from 2 other players, lvl 14 and 13, i am currently a lvl 84 and would be super pissed to lose it all over again a 3rd time.

 

so for me it's a mix of 3-4. yes i glitched a few hundred grand but nothing that would affect my gameplay or other's gameplay, i just wanted lost progress back.

 

 

and yes i played quite a bit of criminal records but that isn't glitching. that's just racing. we were using it more for unlocking mods than the RP although we did discover it gave more RP than Down the drain.

Why punish those who have been playing legitimately? Just reset those who have glitched massive amounts. Personally I have nothing against those who glitched to regain lost progress from deleted characters or cars/apartments disappearing, since Rockstar isn't going to restore that for them. But those who have been glitching just to do it and get millions, yea reset them.

Why in the world would R* do something that would piss off nearly all of it's customers? It's people who regularly visit forums (which is not most people) like this one that make glitches and exploites sound like they are a bigger issue and are being used far more than they actually are. Why would R* punish everyone in a move that would likely make them look bad and most definately cost them many customers, over a few bad apples?

The missions from level 1-25 were all booring as f*ck, no way I'm doing all that again , and i have been playing legit since day 1, no way I'm loosing my progress because people decided to glitch, they will leave the game soon anyways, since they have nothing to do anymore. Just bought a apartement with 10 slot garage (250k) , i could afford the 400k one but, i didn't like spending extra 150k for the same thing. (even though i love the apartement i bought more than the 400k one) "Majestic 51" <-- name of the apartement. Finally managed to get the garage that i have been working on past 3 days. Why would rockstar punish me for that? they wont. Rockstar is not that dumb.

A reset would be the best thing they could do for the long term health of the game, but I doubt they will. They should have made it known as soon as the exploits were public that bans would be handed out (even if it was a lie) to stem the tide of glitchers.

 

Then they should have taken the servers down if need be, whatever it takes to put a stop to it. Then reset before it was out of control.

 

They did nothing, they will do nothing. Rockstar screwed this launch up probably beyond repair at this point.

 

Hows the Bawsaq going to work when we have people with 100 million or a billion in their bank? Before the exploiters, a million dollars would have made you pretty rich.

 

How they deal with that aspect will be interesting.
