Any updates? I'd really like to se what more has been completed, it's looking great so far! I have some ideas though, like some gangs & stuff like that, here they are:

 

Gangs:

 

Northside Hoods (there's already Southside, why not a Northside?)

 

Downtown Yardies (maybe?)

 

Forellis & Sindacos (they were chased out of Liberty City, not so sure if they were chased out of the Upstate, if they were there to begin with)

 

Sicillians (meh, not so big on this one, but isn't that bad I guess, except for the fact that we already have too many Italian mafias)

 

Zaibatsu (where the heck are they in this city? they obviously are there, but they are nowhere to be seen, they must be really well hidden, unless they just reside in the Upstate)

 

Some GTA 1 & GTA 2 Gangs? (I really don't know)

 

& probably some more gangs.

 

Northside Hoods subsidiary colors should be green & blue (I don't know what the names for the subdisries should be though, I will probably think about it later) & the green side's leader name should be like Ice-T or something like that.

Remember that you were going to add the Liberty City Penitentiary to the map? Instead of putting it on an island like the beta why not put it on the spot where the the dirt-bike track used to be in GTA LCS? After all, if they were going to get rid of the dirt-bike track they must do it to build something important right? Ignoring the fact that it was probably removed because bikes were banned in Liberty City & there probably won't be room for water canals, it seems like a great idea to me to put it there, not only because I want it to feel like it's like the vanilla game & it would save a lot of time from modeling but it would also make sense why it wouldn't be shown on the map, so they could keep it secret (ish).

 

Also don't forget these important places: Fernando's New Beginnings, Liberty City Park (not Belleville Park, it was mentioned in the radio and is a place where they host the Medieval Melanin Fair), The Happy Blimp & Unseen & Unheard Radio Station Headquarters (LibertySoul FM, Radio Active, Liberty FM, WLLC 'The Zone" & maybe K-Jah but it's probably on Staunton Island) amongst other places.

 

What do you think?

 

Brilliant! I like the idea about placing LC Penitentiary insted of dirt bike track from LCS, but unfortunately the island has already made long time ago. Further more i have no ideas how to connect it to the Portland roads. I wont change location of Prison. Your post made me think about that area. Ferry))) why not to place it there?! It would connect portland and shoreside vale near broken bridge with unique stunt jump. I found well known beta render of the map and saw huge oil tanks in the place where penitentiary is located on my map. So i can place Oil Factory on ex dirt bike track.

 

Places mentioned on the radio stations and RS Headquaters will be on the map. I cant fluently identify commercial speech from radios((( Would you mind writing speeches about Fernando's New Beginnings, Liberty City Park (not Belleville Park, it was mentioned in the radio and is a place where they host the Medieval Melanin Fair), The Happy Blimp? I have no idea what is the Happy blimp xD. Fernando is an spanish alpha man who teach people how to save their marriage, isnt he?! Of course i will make that locations!

 

Gta3 has limits to gangs and i have no expirence of adding them to main.csm but they can appear in missions. They are Sindacos, Zaibatsu Corp, and Rednecks. For the first gang i have itlian area of Upstate, for the second - industrial,and the third will give missions in countryside. Every gang has their own vehicle.

Now I am working on the LOD view of the map. At the moment its train station, -mix of britsh style and some places in NY area. Static trains, Depo, rails, screens of old subway of LCS etc.

Hello! The way I was thinking it would be connected is by a dirt road, I might be able to post map pictures of ways it can connect to the penitentiary but I need a little time. If you want to make it a oil factory I guess that's fine but I liked the idea of the prison being there, but either way I'll post ways it could be done.

 

The Happy Blimp is a restaurant that is mentioned in the radio, but like many other things, it is not present in the actual game, there are also some billboards laying around Liberty City advertising The Happy Blimp.

 

What do you mean by write the radio adverts here? Do you want me to write new ones or paste the ones mentioning the places above? Because I could do that.

 

I think the Forellis should be thrown in there too considering that they were there in GTA LCS and they still exist in GTA 3 as seen on the missions, but I guess the gangs should be focused on later on during this project.

 

I'm very happy and thankful that you took my ideas into consideration and I'm looking forward into this project! I'll soon post pictures of how it could connect to the place. :)

Having some huge oil factory (refinery) pop up right where the dirtbike track used to be would be some ridiculously fast progress in an unsuitable area. Why not make it an oil rig in the middle of the ocean?

I dont think so? oil rig in NY?!)))) Never have seen it before.

=) thanx. Of cource 3-5 interrioirs will be in mod but only for missions or cutscenes.

1-Penitentiary underground and nearest block.

2-To robber the cutsceneBank Claude will enter through the underground cemetry /i will just convert that area from multiplayer map by R* for gta3/.

3- Bikers club in countryside /need to destroy bikes in the name of the law, bikes in 2001 were banned/

3- Rail Station interrior

4- Factory -for mission with fixed camera, like silent hill action)))

5- redneck ammunition

and maybe 6 science complex to enter Zaibatsu theme

I like to play old games, and last 3 months i have playing mafia tcolh, and inspired by it. I took the idea of placing trees on the pavement and one corner building appearance, thats all. And first silent hill helped me too. The old part look similar to old game, but more detail. I want to make an observation platform like in silent hill 2 showing the peacefull view on a town from mountain. Films help me too. There are few locations from the Sopranos, rocknrolla, snitch. Why not?! I have never been in USA thats why i do places from films.

Why? You can create some facilities, such as hospital, restaurants, police station and houses with easter eggs, additional missions etc It depends on your imagination and of course free time. I can give you some ideas.

I know you said trains on ghost town will that be a subway connected to the rest of the subway?

no connection to lc subway system. Prototype of trainstation in upstate will be Grand Terminal... rails lead the way to Carcer city, Bullworth and Canada.
