A genuine question on exploitation/glitching:

Alright so I might just be burying my head in the sand, but from what I gather running races with a partner for good exp, repeating missions for cash seems to be considered an exploit.

There may be others, like selling cars which I can see is a simple exploit, it doesn't really make that much of a difference because I could make more than that doing races normally.

My Question is IF Rockstar do take action against players, would they not be being entirely hypocritical? I mean if they have a 'Replay' button, it almost encourages replays. And if you can race alone, who is not to assume it is not a way of just practicing the tracks before you race players (As I did, I played each one on solo to practice, nothing to do with RP).

So this all seems to me just some nonsense, and if they do take action it will only be to support their aspirations of micro-transaction $$.

However, asking people why Rockstar allowed these features to be in place anyway is like asking a christian why 'god' made me an atheist.

Running missions over and over is now officially legit; It's simply "playing the game"

For this, I'd say to use your best judgment. Anything that feels like an exploit is an exploit--For the LS car reselling, that is definitely an exploit that is being patched out.

Players just "playing the game" or doing missions are not considered exploits. There may be some missions players farm like crazy for a huge payout and RP boost that will be adjusted to keep the economy in balance, but players that repeat those missions while they pay out huge are not exploiting. They are just farming one particular mission.

Players that use exploits are easy to find, and repeat offenses may result in a ban to the cheater pool, which works similarly to the cheater pool introduced in Max Payne 3.

Please ask any other questions here about bannable offenses. If you'd like clarity on any piece mentioned

Another one to add to that

Indeed--Grinding is grinding. It's not considered an exploit by us if you'd like to replay a mission 100 times. Everyone has fun in games in different ways--some players enjoy deathmatches and running around in free roam, and others want every possible unlock as soon as possible.

For those players you suspect to be legitimately using expoits, please report them via the in-game pause menu or by emailing [email protected].

Nothing happens to mission farmers. Just the LSC car glitchers.

I thought this was made clear from the start.

Well the selling cars exploit definitely creates more money than you could do winning races, so it IS kind of a bigger deal than that.

I would also be truely impressed if you could make as much or more money racing as the people doing the bike selling glitch are making, and as quickly.

As for the question, grinding was never and will never be considered exploiting. Exploiting in the sense being used here would be associated with the bike glitch, using a known or unknown software issue to personal advantage. It was never an intended feature of the game, whereas grinding was most definitly intended, the problem they ran into was poor reward balancing.

Ah alright then, that's fair enough.

I made 140k in around an hour of racing so I dunno if that is as fast or not hehe :) (Never done or researched the exploits, never interests me)

I always piss myself laughing when people (falsely) claim that grinding/mission replaying/farming is an exploit.

Max level for unlocks is 120. Max mission level is what, 75? How on earth do you get to 120 without replaying anything? Even if it's deathmatches, races or jobs, it's still necessary to repeat some things over and over.
