Where excactly is it forbidden to use glitches?

Where did R* say that we can't use the bike glitch (or any glitches) to get money?
It's not hacking, why would it be forbidden and why would people get reset? It's their fault we have access to it.

It's pretty much common sense that abusing a glitch in any online game is not what the developers want. I've yet to play any multiplayer online game where bug abusers weren't punished. It's not really something that needs to be spelled out.

It's like the Olympic games. Everyone is using performance enhancing drugs, everyone knows it but you're only scum if you get caught. "Legit" players need to get off their high horse, as if they've not taken advantage of a SINGLE game mechanic.

BF3 had/has a glitch in Metro where people would camp inside the metro and kill people and NO ONE got reset. It's the developers' fault so you can't really get reset for it

it's probably covered in some license agreement no1 ever reads

and they leave it so open they can basically do whatever they want to whoever they want

the qeustion however is, do they want to?

If I had to guess I'd say no.

this whole launch has been such a cluster f*ck I doubt they'd want to add more bad PR to it.

they just give every1 half a million for their troubles, try to straighten out the glitches and overall online experience in hopes of saving as much as they can and have long lasting well populated Online to rake in those microtransaction $'s

every1 gets a nice house and car just like the farmers/exploiters

the exploiters keep playing

rockstar makes a bunch of money on cash cards

every1 is happy

You're very wrong there (except when it comes to bicycling lol)... You realize that different sports (and sometimes leagues like NHL) have their own rule book of what's allowed and not. Many enhancing drugs is allowed combined with practice but not competition. Some are strictly forbidden like epo boosting at all time. If you need a medication that normally isn't allowed, for example asthma medications, you usually get a permission.

 

Now of course there are ways around this, but most athlets that get caught usually do it for something that is allowed but not during a certain time before a competition. Some sports are more notorious for enhancing drugs, one already mentioned but overall it's simply not worth it in most sports.

The only hard ones to catch really is the ones taking a break from the competitive scene for a year or two and just practice like mad and then come back. And a few drugs that you can hide very well (epo boosting being one of them, which they lately found new effective ways to handle catch though).

 

Anyways, point being, no... Not all cheat, the vast majority don't. That some do don't excuse the rest to behave in the same way.

Can you please explain to me how it's bad PR to punish cheaters?

 

Do you think it's more likely people will spend money on this game if they see people that gotten the stuff for free gets caught and punished for it?

 

I mean, if you've glitched your ways to several millions, why on earth would you buy a cash card anywas?
