It seems to me the sensible thing to do here is to look up what the max payne cheater pool was all about rather than simply wildly speculating yes?

Worthy things to note from the max payne incident..

 

1) They warned everyone using Newswire what action they were going to take before doing anything

 

2) The cheater pool - is not a ban, it is segregated servers just like the bad sport servers

 

As promised, we've taken steps to quarantine confirmed cheaters in Max Payne 3 Multiplayer. Starting today, anyone we've found using hacked saves, modded games, or other exploits has officially been cordoned off in a dedicated cheater pool, confined to wallow with other unscrupulous reprobates.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a terrible idea? Everyone has a friend that exploited, knowing it or not. You wouldn't enjoy if suddenly you couldn't with play them and for the community to be split in 2 permanently. A better solution would be to set exploiters to bad sports from 1 to 4 weeks.

I tried playing legitimately for a week and got nowhere. I would bet that nearly everyone I've seen in game has used some sort of money exploit considering they have all bought several Adders.

Surprisingly, I don't know anyone who used the exploit. I play mostly with my small group of friends. Sure, we all know about it, but from past experience we have decided to stay away from anything that has the potential to land us in a situation we don't want.

I don't really like the idea of being condemned a month with hackers and modders because I made easy money by pressing some buttons while still in game. It's not really cheating either, I was never a "cheater" for boosting in MW3 which most people did because it was ridiculous to reach level 80 to prestige once and there was 20 prestiges.
