GTAV = Pay to play

I rocked Violent Ducts, Parking Garage & Roof top rumble all the way to $20,000,000 with a legit ranking over 120 in the "Early days of GTA V," when it was OK to repeat those missions. It only took a few hours over a few days and I had a blast doing it with friends & randoms. Those missions were actually very fun for their re-playability.

 

I pretty much own every hot item car with full upgrades and have one of the top apartments with millions still left in the bank.

 

Now that those missions have been removed and or payouts adjusted this game really is just a money sink to raise the bare minimum maintenance money needed to play in an open lobby.

 

For example, I went out on a drive from my apartment to the airport and got RPGd by a broke ass dude who could not afford the $11k insurance fee to replace my car (yet he could afford the $1k per rocket cost lol). And then when I respawn he camps me with a second kill, so in a matter of seconds I am out $15k. FIFTEEN GRAND lost in a matter of seconds and it takes a good ten to fifteen minutes to raise that kind of money with the existing missions now that they removed the decent money missions. I loose about $100k to $200k every session I play this game now and its getting lame.

 

Why do level 120+s have less money making opportunity vs mid 20 level players (at least they still have out of court settlement for 9k). Why are there no $50k+ payout missions for those in the upper level bracket of this game?

 

The existing mission & payout structure is worse of a grind then it was repeating those early money missions and its pretty obvious that GTA V is really all about Pay to Play micro-transactions.

I dont understand why people who cant afford the insurance premium on a car they destroy arent simply just placed into debt and a negative balance and additionally have an automatic 3 star wanted level or a large bounty on their head.

I agree. There are serious balancing issues in GTAO at the moment. A lot of great ideas and ambition, it's just going to be very difficult to get it just right, if its even possible.

This pretty much tells us that farming was okay and by removing that rockstar made the problem worse with people doing glitches that give absurd amounts of money because they were searching for an alternative to farming.

I refuse to even pre-order games since they've come up with this in game pre-order nonsense

it's just devs trying to squeeze every last penny out of customers and i'm not playing that sh*t

I gave you money now I want to play the game and not worry about having to spend money to keep playing

games are a form of escapism for me and a lot of people, and being pulled into some online store having to buy sh*t all the time just ruins it

 

I wouldn't mind paying a subscription or anything if I have to finance their servers or whatever

but just keep that sh*t out of my game

I never had this issue. Granted I have about 40k and rank 17, people never come after me nor do I ever lose more then 2k in a session. Sometimes I will start up and I see an extra 5k.

I rarely die in free roam now days, most people just look at me and leave me alone :< And I have nice cars! Currently rocking a pink modded Sultan!

 

What's unfair though is that you made your money/levels in no time at all while others will have to play for VERY LONG PERIOD of time to achieve the same stats/bank. Now I farmed some mission and have it pretty good I guess, nothing like you but I can soon buy one of those very expensive (800k-1mil) cars and add to my collection of a few muscle cars, sultan and so on that is parked in my 400k apartment.

 

I'm just saying that you or anyone else that farmed their money should be happy they did while it lasted. The reason why I didn't go full farm was because I felt the game would be boring with the best of everything and I'd rather want this game to last for some time. Being between level 30-40 is quite nice.

I might be able to take a gander here. I don't think Rockstar expected people to be at your level so quickly, so they haven't released content missions for that level yet. Im quite sure that when they start releasing the free DLC with the heists and stock market opening - I'm sure you'll have missions at your levels.

Have you completed every mission? If so, the content available probably wasn't designed to suit the needs of someone attached to their Xbox controller by the hip unfortunately.

 

I'd suggest not using the exploits as much as you were and to look at other things available like crews and wait for the next update on the 22nd to see if any amendments have been made to the missions.

no end game is true but i just like grinding. whether it be for money or for levels grinding is fun and it sucks that after a certain level there is nothing to strive for other than a number but eventually there will be things that require level 200 to 300 otherwise why would they make the levels go to 999

If you're losing $100-200k every session then you're clearly doing something wrong.

And did you not anticipate something like this might happen when you were mindlessly farming those missions to get your lovely $20 mil?

You ruined the game for yourself by rushing rather than taking your time and enjoying it. I have an apartment, a bunch of nice cars and I'm still thoroughly enjoying the game, I could care less if I lose some cash in a session getting into a tangle with some trigger happy morons. It seems like you need to change your own perspective of the game before you start crying about your $11k insurance fees etc.
