Dying with a lot of money?

If I have a lot of money on me and die or get murdered I don't lose it so what's the big deal with dying with a lot of money ?

I assume R* planned on you dropping all the cash you had on hand, but like most things in this game, it is currently broken. Hopefully it's on the list of sh*t to fix eventually.

This was what i was also thinking. So far, i haven't DROPPED any cash when dying. Neither have i picked up more than $100 from a corpse. So my theory of moving all my money to my pocket/wallet so to avoid medical bills is working perfectly for me

The maximum that's currently dropped is only $100. I hope they fix it so players drop around 10% of their held cash, maybe more..

It's not about dying with cash. It's about carrying it around. Someone can call Lamar and get him to send a mugger on you to steal it

one of my friends came out of a match yesterday with like $50k (we did a bunch of races) and supposedly he got killed and lost $50k he had on him.

 

maybe he got mugged, i don't know

It's not about dying with cash. It's about carrying it around. Someone can call Lamar and get him to send a mugger on you to steal it

 

I distinctly remember R* implying somewhere pre-launch that players would be able to pick up your on hand cash, should they kill you. Or at least, that seems like it would make sense, since it doesn't seem logical that you can send someone to mug another player for some large percentage of their cash on hand, but you can't pick up more than $100 once all that cash (which they should still have on them) is no longer in their possession.

 

But, since I can't really be bothered looking around for that info, we'll just have to play it by ear on whether they fix it or not.
