And then you have people like me that won't exploit glitches and won't pay for credits.

Funnily enough, i bought this game to PLAY it, not to get to first place in a matter of minutes because of exploits and microtransactions. I want to work my way to having the best apartment and best cars, not have them given to me because i'm some kind of f*cktard that can't play a game properly.

>OP and everybody in his mindset is a fag.

So impressive. Your little honor thing. Oh so very, very impressive.

As for microtransactions: only people without money to buy those cash cards will hate on them.

Really? I have plenty of disposable income and I still hate MTs. I use my disposable income on gaming because thats my hobby of choice. However MT's ruin gaming experience because the developers purposely tweak the game in a manner that would drive a reasoned consumer to at least CONSIDER purchasing whatever the MT is.

For instance 1.25M GTA$ is set to $20. Therefore whoever chose that price point clearly believes that a rationale consumer would purchase that item at that price. They arent pricing these things thinking oh we'll just farm impatient little children who cant control their spending habits. While that might sound like a rationale conclusion it isnt a sound business model as it doesnt pay dividends in the long run.

Anyway point is someone is going to part with $20 which is and isn't a lot of money for a single item then 1.25M has to have that value for someone to purchase it. Therefore 1.25M wont be something that you can achieve with relative ease otherwise someone would look at the time it takes to earn that kind of money for free versus paying for it and choose not to spend the money if the time needed isnt perceived as big a time sink as parting with $20.

Now factor in how little 1.25M is in terms of GTA economy needs. Tanks, Choppers, High End Vehicles, Ammo. It is quite easy to burn through that kind of money with little to no effort it becomes clear that the in games economy DESPITE Rockstars assertion is geared towards people who would not pay for Cash Cards is clearly geared towards paying Cash Cards.

ITS IN FACT A sh*tTY BUSINESS MODEL FOR THEM TO DO OTHERWISE, IF THEY GEAR IT TOWARDS PEOPLE WHO WONT PAY THEN THEY CANT RELIABLY EXPECT TO EARN INCOME FROM THE CARDS. THEY TELL YOU GAMING IS AN INDUSTRY SO USE YOUR HEAD. THEY ARENT GOING TO EXERCISE A sh*tTY BUSINESS MODEL, THEY ARE HOWEVER GOING TO PR SPIN IT TILL YOU JUST COMPLY WITH WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO BELIEVE.

So yea Microtransactions in P2P games are just farming you. Its fine if they are for cosmetic items but when they are for gameplay features or essentials it only leads to inevitable paywalls. PS2 is about the closest balance ive seen in F2P with cosmetic and gameplay pay items that strikes a relatively fair balance, at least from an infantry standpoint, from a vehicle standpoint its pretty easy to argue the paywall exists for people who pay for XP and those who dont.

Subscription models are completely different as they apply to everyone across the board and people assume that cost in order to play and it doesnt create an imbalance between payers and nonpayers.

So for everyone who thinks Microtransactions are fine because you have the money, get a clue on how it ruining games piecemeal and it doesnt legitimately extend the life of any CONSOLE game to date. Especially since they release a new game within a year or two anyway.

The difference is that micro transactions give R* more money. More money means more updates making the game better. If people kept buying money for say 3 years than R* would keep updating and making the game better until the game is no longer profitable.

I know most of you could give a sh*t about the future development in a game; but if this game lasted that long it would probably be a way better more polished game with more things to do.

Comparing exploiting to in game cash shops that keep games developing. Sounds like delusional illogical thinking. Oh yea I'm on the GTA Online forums... that sounds about right.

There is other games out there that have decent content realeases that dont have micro transactions. They also didn't make a billion dollars in 3 days. You guys are starting to sound like a bunch of jealous sh*tbags cause someone has better stuff than you.
Please tell me of a MMORPG style game that is actually decent gets updated monthly and doesn't have micro transactions, or a full on pay sub. I would love to hear of one.
Compare GTA:O to its actual genre, just because it has mmo elements doesn't make it an mmo. I can hit sh*t in WoW with a sword, does that make it a hack and slash game? Plus the first word of mmo is Massive, what world do you live in where 16 people is massive?

Ehh that's a fairly good point you could easily argue it's not massive, but it has all of the qualities of MMORPG's(levels, customization, instanced quests, purchasable objects all in an online world) but it has a low server cap. Regardless, can you tell me of a quality Online RPG that sees regular updates that doesn't have any micro transactions?

As far as I'm aware there isn't a mmorpg that doesn't have Microtransactions, but I was comparing it to other xbox games not mmo/rpgs on the PC. Also D3 on xbox has no microtransactions at this moment. That thing about instanced sh*t, customazation, levels, etc, Battlefield 3 has all that sh*t too, just because a game shares similarities with something else doesn't make it said thing.

the ultimate argument:

ITS A GAME.

And this is an internet forum for talking about this GAME.

This is not real life.

I doubt people are moaning to their wives/kids/friends in real life about exploiters on the internet.

A GTA FORUM is exactly the place to moan about it.

Gotta love how the ones who are defending exploits use memes.

Le 9gag humor from le 12 year olds. Lelele.

On a side note.

>Microstransitions only give you cash. Not a competitive advantage.

> Exploits give cash and RP. A competitive unfair advantage.

There you go.

Doing the bike glitch gives you RP? That's news to me.

Don't know if this is news to you, but there's been more than one glitch/exploit.

Because that makes my argument any less valid, maybe you should come up with retorts that actually relate to the conversation in question. Go back to 4chan.

I wasn't talking about RP, they are both cheating. You both get large amounts of money with no effort, the only difference is some is stupid enough to spend money on it and or is rich and stupid.
