ccoreyz
How soon eventually will GTAV release on PS4? I mean Rockstar has to have a gut feeling that people like me, and most, will abadon PS3, and get a PS4 and GTA V will not be available and will QUICKLY become irrelevant. I have no problem buying it again . I know most wouldn't agree. <------

JmanBassman
IF they are putting it on next gen consoles, big IF! I bet that have already start using Dev kits to do so...but like I've read some people think only GTA Online will be on Next Gen. IF it does come out on next gen it would make sense to bring it out as soon as possible as there will be loads of new games on new tech to compete with. That's just my opinion. TakinThyBacon
Well I think I remember hearing that the PS4 will be backwards compatible, if thats the case I would imagine a lot of the V players will just migrate their existing games to the new console. I have not really seen any PS4 games that look good enough to justify me spending that type of money on a new console, most likely I will get one when my 5 year old PS3 kicks the bucket. TakinThyBacon
Haven't they said many times that it isnt coming out for ps4 or XB1? I do not recall them saying those exact words, I think what they have said is that "we are currently only focusing on the PS3 and X-box 360 editions"

Single Player for $30 and Multiplayer for $40... or a deal (both for $60). There will also be some sort of in game bonus for buying is on Ps4/Xbone (extra cash, weapons, vehicles, etc....). fish61324
Haven't they said many times that it isnt coming out for ps4 or XB1? They are not going to re-make it for next gen. But they are most certainly re-releasing GTA V for next gen

X S
I would assume that without a doubt they will be ported to next-gen consoles. Theres a few reasons for this. The new consoles are based on PC architecture, making it extremely easy to develop a game on multiple platforms. There has been a continual tradition of releasing GTA on PC late into the cycle. From a business perspective, it would be highly unwise to make a statement about a next-gen release. That might possibly deter prospective customers from buying the game on release. So you state, "We have no plans at the moment, buy the game now so we can get you to re-buy the game later on." Another reason it will most likely be on next-gen has to do with DLC content. Who is honestly going to be playing GTA V on their PS3 or 360 in two or three years when the 3rd DLC campaign releases? It's simply about dealing with market share. Their statements are smoke and mirrors, but the transistion should honestly be very interesting. Some considerations they'd need to address is the fact that many 360 gamers will be transitioning to PS4 and vice versa. I'm currently playing the game on PS3, but I'll be getting an X1; that's a problem. All online progress will be gone. In the end, however, I'm really interested to see how Rockstar creatively transitions to next-gen. I agree, I'm not buying a PS4 just yet, I have not seen any potentially great games for it at it's launch that would make me want it so soon . My 60gb PS3 is doing me just fine, and there are still a number of games I wanna get through, now that I've finished the main GTA V storyline. No, the PS4 will not be compatible with PS3 games, Sony have already confirmed this. PS3 games will be available for digital download at some point on Sony's new streaming service (Gakai). I don't really care to play GTA V on the new consoles anyway. GTA V is the last hurrah of this console generation for me. King Kapone
I am certain that GTA V will be released for both the One and PS4.Rockstar can not discuss their plans regarding this now because it would severely damage their success on current generation consoles. If everyone knew the game would be released on a next generation console, no one would buy the game now. It's a classic double-dip strategy and Rockstar will make a lot more money off of it. Even at approx. $10 to receive the next-gen port provided you own the original 360/PS3 copy, that's $10 per consumer they didn't have from the start.Expect V to be milked to death.
