Conflict resolution - what's better - Mercenaries or Deathmarch

So I had this guy who I'm beefing with (former crew) send mercenaries after me, then he kills me immediately when I respawn. Why not deathmatch it I ask? For one person, why not duel it out? What is the preferred method of conflict resolution by the GTA community?

If anybody shoots at me then I hunt them. I don't need mercs or game modes. I would prefer to be chill, hop in my truck or helicopter and we can rob some stores or steal some jets, but shoot at me and it's game on.

i prefer a good ole fashioned shoot out in the street.

Send the mercs after them, set a bounty, then after they are kileld by a player hunt them down sevral times till they set a bounty on me, then wait out the bounty in my apartment, while I play Skyrim on the PC.
